Swad Premium Quality Cardamom Seeds Decorticated (Elaichi Dana) / 100g., 3.5oz

I'm an accomplished cook, and consider myself to possessing a refined palate. There are OCCASIONALLY times when I incorporate the entire pod, but, these are just SO MUCH EASIER!! Obviously, you can just add these seeds to whatever you like as is, or you can grind them in a mortar and pestle/spice mill, of you like it more powdery. This is actually my FAVOURITE of ALL spices/herbs, and they are really MUCH more versatile than one might think. They're NOT just for India fare. Cardamom goes GREAT with chocolate, vanilla, cream cheese, frostings, ice cream, etc. I find (green - this one) to be absolutely INTOXICATING!!! The aroma is just GORGEOUS.

very fragrant, I use 4 grains to make 1 liter of chai. They have almost no scent to the nose however.

Most of the time we use this in powder form. I use the coffee grinder to convert about 1 ounce of seeds into powder. By doing small batches, you always get the freshest flavor.

I've started to grind all my spices at home and am slowly realizing I should have been doing this +30 years ago. This cardamom is especially flavorful and a wonderful addition to my cooking.

This was fresh, free from foreign debris, and just what I look for in shelled (decorticated) cardamom.I'm very happy with it.

I have used Rani before and found it more flavorful.
