Item works great. Too bad the wireless cameras hve to be plugged in. And the power cord they all come with is 2 3 feet and in America the ceilings are usually 8 feet so you either hve an extension cord and ac adapter middle of the wall or spend a couple bucks and get this needed item. There's no other way

Worked great for running power to an Amazon Echo mounted just above our pantry. Used a second one to run power to an Amazon Echo mounted above a closet in one of our master bathroom. Both were white, our walls are off white, and the mounting brackets were white, so a black cable would have looked odd.In both of these spots I was able to run this directly out to the room through the closet or pantry wall, caulk and paint hiding the wire entry point behind the mounting brackets. It was still nice to have something that was not jet black, as even a scant glance at that peeking from behind would have made things look less clean.They pass power perfectly for my application. I can't speak for more power hungry devices that might need /exactly/ the voltage supplied by the original cable, since the longer you extend a cable the more the voltage drops. Can't fight physics. However I would suspect that for most things that will take a 1.3mm DC power cable male termination, there is some wiggle room on the voltage. Certainly 12 ft of even TERRIBLE cable shouldn't drop the voltage that much.

It looks well made, but does not fit the Amcrest IPM-722S security camera I bought it for. Figure I would post so no one makes the same mistake again.

Does what it needs to do, but the male end is a little longer than it needs to be.

I use this cord with a Hello Baby HB25 baby monitor, and it works great. I installed an outlet in my attic, poked a hole in the ceiling of the nursery, ran the cord through, plugged it in, and voila! No power cords for a baby to tamper with or potentially strangle herself with. I really can't think of anything negative about this item, and the price was good, too.

It does what it was suppose to do, extend a 1.3mm DC power. No problem at all, I just plug the two cable together, and everything works like it should. I used this cable to extend the power for my Fujikam, because the cable for the AC adapter is just too short to reach anywhere. With this cable, my cable reaching problem is gone. Just make sure when choosing a power extension cable, you buy the correct plug size and everything should fine.

I did not use this extension cable for its intended purpose. When I relocated a Chamberlain Garage Door Monitor ( an earlier Amazon purchase) I found the original power cable was too short and an extension cable was required. After a bit of searching I found this cable which had the correct (1.3mm) plug and receptacle. This is a well made product and can be recommended for applications where a 1.3mm plug/receptacle is required.
