We wanted to start making and drinking bubble tea at home for 2 major reasons:1. We've been staying at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.2. That's a 90.2% savings!Per serving math details:- We purchased a 6-lb. bag of Tea Zone brand instant tapioca pearls for $15. We use 1.5oz. (dried) tapioca pearls per 16oz. drink serving, so there are 64 servings per 6-lb. bag. $15/64 servings = $0.23/serving.- We purchased 2 8oz. bags of loose leaf tea for $8.99 each. Each 8oz. bag yields 68 cups of tea. Since we use 2 cups of tea per 16oz. bubble tea drink, that translates to 34 servings. $8.99/34 servings = $0.26/serving.- $0.23/serving boba + $0.26/serving tea = $0.49/serving bubble tea.- ($5-$0.49)/$5 x 100 = 90.2% savings.Note that I'm not accounting for added sugar or milk here.Ingredients + straws math details:- As noted, we purchased a 6-lb. bag of tapioca pearls for $15 and 2 8oz bags of tea for $8.99 each. When we purchased these straws in June 2020, they were $5.99. The total is $38.97.- Each bubble tea drink at our local tea shop is $5. So by making tea at home, our ingredient + straw purchases pay themselves off after we make 8 drinks!Straw details:We've been using the straws almost daily since late June 2020 (~2 months).- Quality: They're comparable to normal stainless steel straws that we were gifted for Christmas last year. So if you're used to reusable stainless steel straws, then it will be easy to transition to these reusable stainless steel boba straws.- Usage: They're the perfect diameter for the tapioca pearls we use.- Cleaning: They're easy to clean with the included brushes, and we air dry them standing up in our dish rack utensil holder. They've held up through many, many washings without any issues - no rust spots or hard water build-up.These are perfect if you want to: (1) save money by making bubble tea at home, and (2) be eco-friendly with stainless steel straws.

Initially, I chose the 10" boba straws over these, but realized mine didn't come with the silicon tips, which I initially didn't really think I needed, but then one reviewer mentioned using them for hot drinks and I realized I do need them for that! So I went ahead and ordered the 8" boba straws as well. These came with an extra cleaner, an extra bag (those bags are really nice and made of linen), and silicon tips (I got 2 green and 4 blue ones). The silicon tips are a bit difficult to put on, but I figured they had to be due to task they are designed for. Haven't tested it out on hot liquid yet, but I know if I need them, they are there. I tested the straw out on honeydew smoothie and it works great - no issues to report. Metal straws are a bit difficult to get used to at first, but once you get used to them and figure out how they are different from plastic ones, you realize they are a much better alternative.

Good: You get a lot for the price. The straws are good quality as far as I can tell, and the cleaning brushes are a nice inclusion that I might not have even thought of getting.Meh: The carrying cases seemed nice, until I thought about how they would also have to carry *dirty* straws after using them. Something easier to clean like a hard plastic case would be better. (I put them in the washing machine, and they frayed like crazy, so don't do that)Bad: The straw ends are angled, but they don't come to a sharp point like disposable boba straws do. This makes them bad at cleanly puncturing the sealed plastic lids that most boba shops near me use. I had to spend some time grinding/sharpening them to get them to poke through easily instead of punching a 2-inch hole.

These thick metal boba straws are exactly what we needed now that we are making our own boba tea at home. They are very wide and the perfect length. Very easy to clean because they came with special pipe cleaners. And they still look like the day we got them. We did not use the silicone tips at all, but I guess they would be good to know whose drink is whose. Would definitely recommend them.

I got these a couple weeks ago and they have been working out well. They are the size of the plastic boba straws you would get at a boba tea shop and I have had no problems with the boba I make at home. It came with 4 different colored tips (2 Red, 2 Blue, 1 Yellow, and 1 Green). I also got 3 brushes and two little cloth bags to keep them in. The tips are easy to take off and put on and the straws are as easy to clean as most reusable straws.

Since shelter in place, we have been ordering boba drinks to consume at home. I would note "no straw needed" in the order comment section. It helps the store and our environment a bit. These straws are perfect in terms of length and width. The silicon tips are nice to have. My kids don't really use it. Another plus for this item is that it comes with cleaning brush. Very useful!!

Very durable it's been a month I believe. No rust, easy cleaning, comes with a bag, 3 cleaning snake tools, and silicone tips per straw. Impressive for price and good to know your not using up plastic and saving money by keeping metal versions.

Llegó a México en buen estado, viene muy completo con los limpiadores para facilitar la limpieza, lo único que no me convence son las gomitas de colores que trae porque no he podido hacer que le entren al popote, una lastima, pero todo lo demás está perfecto, sobretodo para la tapioca.
