Casper Sleep Original 11" Memory Foam Queen Mattress – Medium Firm Feel

I love Casper so much that I got one to put in my RV 😁 The space is a couple inches shorter than a regular bed (weird RV sizes) but the Casper crunched up just a tad and fit right in 👍 When you first lay on a Casper it may seem at first like its a bit too firm if youre new to it , but trust the design and you wont be disappointed . Casper is the original in high density foam mattresses that so many other companies have tried to copy over the past 20 years - that speaks volumes about how good they are and how many people like them.

I visited my brother and his family recently and the bed I slept on was a twin with a Casper mattress. I slept on that bed for over a week. Some days when I woke up, I didn't want to get out of bed because it was so comfortable. I've been sleeping on a Select Comfort (Sleep Number) bed for over 25 years and have not really liked sleeping on an air mattress for most of that time. The Casper mattress gives better support of a more traditional mattress, but it hugs you in a good way.Some reviewers stated that they saw less quality between the twin and queen size. My mattress was manufactured in June of this year and it's absolutely perfect. I'm very glad I bought it - and with the Cyber Monday sale price!I'm very thankful to get more satisfying sleep with my new Casper mattress. Ahhhhh....

All of my dads side of my family (including myself) suffer from chronic back pain, we're also mostly above 6' tall (I'm 6'6 lol) and have struggled with severe pain since I was a kid. Growing up, and until now I had typical hybrid mattresses with coils and whatnot. My neck, shoulders and back would all be stiff when I woke up. Not with Casper. It's an absolute game changer if you struggle with pain or sleep in general. The top layer is extra soft for your pointy bits, but is still extremely supportive. I've never experienced this much comfort in a bed before. It costs a pretty penny, but in my opinion, it's worth every cent.*It is on the softer side. So if you prefer a stiffer mattress I'd recommend going up a level.Thank you, Casper.

The Caspar Original is advertised as a medium-firm memory foam mattress. While there is no standardized rating system for the firmness of a mattress, of the various memory foam and innerspring mattresses that I've experienced I would categorize this as a soft mattress. I haven't tried the other firmness designations of Casper memory foam mattresses so I can't speak to how their medium-firm mattress compares against what they would call firm and soft (I couldn't find a description of firmness on their site nor any product labeled 'firm' or 'soft') but to my body this is a soft mattress. That doesn't mean bad, it is very comfortable, it's just out of line with how most other memory foam mattress manufacturers use of the term 'medium-firm'. It is a very comfortable mattress and unlike many other memory foam mattresses does not even mention needing to let the mattress expand fully over a number of hours or even days, nor is there any talk of odors of any kind, only that it is ready to sleep on as soon as it is unpacked, which in my case I did. There was only the smell of my own worn socks which I could have done without if I had only thrown them in the hamper instead of leaving them on the floor next to the bed... It's a great mattress but it should be understood that it may seem soft to by comparison to other mattresses labled as 'medium-firm'.

My husband and I have been sleeping on a lumpy, incredibly uncomfortable standard KING mattress for years. The stupid thing was so expensive. I think we were trying to get every last penny out of the purchase...we can be stubborn like that too. It eventually just was not worth it anymore.So I researched different mattresses and spoke to friends. Kept on hearing about Casper. Liked the idea that it had the cooling gel (I run hot) and the fact you don't have to wait 2-3 days for the mattress to expand, liked the warranty and the price was pretty good.I was so glad that it was available on Amazon, it added a layer of confidence if there had been an issue.So I ordered the mattress and 2 days later it was delivered.OMG...like seriously OMG...the first night and every night afterwards, my sleep has been deeper and better than ever. My husbands back pain is gone..like poof! We had no adjustment period of going from a standard mattress to a foam type mattress. No issue with a smell. If you have another person able to help to unpack and set the mattress up, that would be great...and definitely set it up where you are going to be sleeping...thing gets heavy and bulky...FAST.Bottom line: We LOVE this mattress. Period.

A couple of years ago I replaced an extremely soft traditional spring mattress (that had become severely warped) with a middle-of-the-line Ikea foam mattress. The Ikea mattress, at least on a boxspring (as opposed to slats or directly on springs) was unbearably hard for me. I am overweight, and when I would lay down on my back on the Ikea mattress, my lower back would arch several inches over the mattress. I developed very frequent lower back soreness because of this. I finally had enough of the Ikea mattress, so I started researching alternatives, with the limitation that because of the pandemic I wouldn't be able to try out any mattresses at a store. Also, because of my very narrow stairs, I knew that the only King size mattress I would ever be able to move back downstairs when needed was an all-foam mattress (so hybrid options were out of the question for me).I researched mattresses extensively for a few weeks. I started with Consumer Reports, which rates Casper's mattress very highly. I read and watched review after review online. I also asked my friends on Facebook what mattress-in-a-box they recommended, and a friend wrote to say that her guest beds are Caspers and that her guests always mention how comfortable they are. I finally settled on the Casper original (all-foam) and I couldn't be happier. I find it very supporting and I like that I don't sink into it. It's funny to see some reviewers on here write that it's way too firm, and others say that it's way too soft. I think it's a pretty perfect balance of softness and support. I am very happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend it.

First thing I feel I need to review is the delivery service we purchased. The reason I called it “white glove” is that the 2 gentlemen were amazing. Kind, fast and caring of property. They took away the old mattress first then brought in the new one. No disruption of our property whatsoever. They deserve priority for the review.Now the mattress. Although it takes 72 hours to fully fluff up we were still able to sit and lay on it ASAP. It’s only been 36 hours but it is so amazingly soft and supportive for my 81yo mother in law. She’s a bit tough to please but she too loves it and woke up this morning without her usual aches. My husband snd I will be buying a king size for our bed soon. You won’t regret this purchase and I can’t wait to get the next one.Thank you Casper, Amazon and our special delivery guys for making this an easy, no stress experience. Should have expected this from Amazon anyway, top notch service.

We had terrible difficulty trying to match stiffness and construction with mattress sold by Amazon relative to mattress which could be sampled in a store. Despite sincere effort on our part, mattress did not have medium firm feel relative to other memory foam mattresses we have in the past. We had no choice but to return the mattress for full refund immediately after arrival. This means throwing a mattress away. Amazon responded well, but it was a waste of our time and their money.

This mattress met all my expectations as it pertains to comfort and support for the back. Was very easy unpack and setup.

I ordered this mattress just over a month ago. In my opinion it was too firm, but overall quality is fine. As per Casper's website as well as on this amazon posting, the 100 day risk free sleep trial is listed. When I attempted to return it, however, Amazon said it was past the 30 day window and couldn't help and referred me to the manufacturer. Casper on their end is unable to do anything and were surprised Amazon could not process a return/refund within the 100 day sleep trial. Now I am going through a dispute through my credit card but just a fair warning - I'd suggest buying from Casper directly for the trail as Amazon has been extremely unhelpful and their posting is misleading if they are unable to uphold the risk free trial.

Purchased 3 Casper mattresses and they will not expand correctly. These are like seconds in my opionion Two of the mattresses the corners are not square and not fully expanded. My phone experience with Amazon was terrible. They do not send somebody to pick up the mattresses to be returned. Not sure how they expect us to take 3 king sized mattresses to a courier. When I asked the customer service lady very nicely how this was feasible she explained the same thing over again and told me she would disconnect the call which she did. I am astounded at their lousy service. Buy Casper in an actual Casper store!

I bought this bed because of hip/leg pain. I woke up after sleeping on the Casper bed almost pain free.Great purchase!My only complaint is that it has a chemical smell which I hope will go away in a few days
