Durable and useful
Good quality. It's been in use for two months. I use two bags for Seachem Matrix biomedia, which is fancy pumice rocks. The material is holding up without being damaged. The third bag I keep filter floss. The first two times I did a big water change, I had the filter floss lose. It got all over the tank, so last week I placed the floss in the bag and now it stays in place and still does its job makes it so much easier to clean my tank sump.

I use these for my fish aquarium. I put ...
I use these for my fish aquarium. I put Marineland Premium carbon-ammonia neutralizing blend inside. Probably a 1/2 to 1/4 cup. Then I just drop it in the tank. Miraculous improvement in water clarity. I Have a 50 gal tank with 4 large goldfish. I had tried everything to clear my hazy water, this really hepled.

Huge bags are great for ponds!
These are perfect for adding Zeolite to the filters in my pond! I have a 1000 gallon indoor pond that needs a lot of charcoal and zeolite in order to keep the water clear and not fishy-smelling. Other bags I've gotten were way too small that I'd need several of them for each filter. These bags are so large that I only need to use one for each of my filters and the mesh is fine enough where I don't have a lot of crumbs to deal with while filling them.Very durable! This is actually my second time purchasing these since I'm installing a larger filter soon. The original ones I bought last year are still in great condition.

Cheaper solution to pre-made bags!
I love the idea of adding my own carbon instead of buying already packaged and having to waste and throw out all that plastic. This is a great alternative and a must I think for any aquarium enthusiast. Also, in my opinion, a cheaper solution buying your carbon in bulk and filling your own bags. These bags hold almost 4 cups of carbon pellets and zip close without a big mess or bits falling out. Very well made bags that are pretty tough and durable too!

Broken zippers
I bought these because of the zipper I hate those ones with the ties because they always come loose so I trusted that the zippers would work faithfully but 2 of the zippers were broke So I will not be buying these again does anybody know of any that actually work

Not very fine mesh - ceramic and carbon falls out
If you have LARGE chunks or the big bio balls these will be fine. But for any activated carbon, or AmmoLock, you will need to wrap this in filter media as well. PetSmart sells mesh bags for less than $1 that work perfectly. Finally something that makes more sense to buy from a brick and mortar store.

Better filter for less money
I am super happy with this purchase.... I have 3 tanks with different sized filters for the pumps and all are discontinued...There is no way to cut filters to fit if I buy another size...This product is amazing! I am able to change filter easily as often as I wish. I purchased activated carbon pellets and just pour them into the flexible bag to fill any filter. The water has been clean for 3 months, no cloudiness at all and happy fish!
