As a cheef this is one of my tools to be used, i like it because is rough witch most the time if need it more than the fine (as diamond grain) the balance is just perfect grip is ideal, affordable, and love the little sharpener to make a new edge that come incorporated, cleaning is just a breeze, and has the perfect length to be hanging in my cart beside that has a low profile look,

What I like about this sharpener: 1. High quality 2. Allows you to sharpen your knives in two different manners 3. Nice weight and feel 4. Works very well What I don't like 1. It is longer than most sharpening rods because of the sharpening slots. It makes it too large for most knife rolls. I strongly recommend this product.

This is a quality steel at an affordable price. The carbide and ceramic sharpeners are a bonus and help to keep those paring knives sharp.

I like this Item, it is easy to use and does the job. Seems very sturdy. I think Cuisinart does a good job and keeps their product affordable.

Bought this as a gift for a friend who had just received a set of Cuisinart knives. This is a very nice tool with the sharpener on the handle ad the steel for honing. Not too heavy in the handle. I like the tapered tip - seems a bit easier to slide the knife all the way to the edge without danger of damaging the tip. It's not high end, but will work perfectly for the home kitchen. Think I'm going to purchase another one for myself because the handle recently separated from my Wusthoff honer.

I Love this! I use it to sharpen my knifes everytime I use them. I'm a chef working in a cafateria feeding over 1000 students per meal. I do alot of meat carving and after using this my knives carve meats like butter! Saves on your wrist and prevents calaces from forming fighting to cut anything. Must have for keeping your edge on your knives.

The stone sharpeners are great, but it seems like the pole doesn't sharpen the blades that well. Maybe you'd be better off with a diamond coated sharpener
