I did not think this would work, but this thing is amazing. It feels very supportive on the hernia area much better. I can do more with this belt on that I couldn’t do. so is it worth it to me! It is pretty comfortable. Have to get used to it, but it’s great. Does what it says and that’s what counts. It’s easy to set up not that complicated. Velcro makes everything so much easier.

There might be better out there but I settled on this. A stiffer, heavier belt would be better but it works.

Only one complaint, otherwise satisfied. It rides low, on your hips. Yes, I know that's where they say it should go but it's difficult to find just the right spot so it will stay up while working. If you move around a lot, bending or stooping, you find yourself constantly reaching in your trousers (lol) trying to tug on it and pull it up. If you set it to ride too high, the pad doesn't cover the hernia. I bought a large and I wonder if the X-large has larger pads or just a longer belt. What this really needs is a WIDER belt to make you feel more secure it won't slip AND some cushioning on the Velcro straps that go from front to back between your legs. After walking a while I had a small sore on the inside of my thigh from the strap. Also, the foam pads they use should be rounded all the way around. The edges that touch your body can actually feel sharp after a while.

Just got back from 8 days of trekking in Patagonia. This works like a champ. Infinitely adjustable, stays in place, doesn’t chafe, and provides great support. I’m giving this 3 stars because the Velcro is horrible. If you wear it daily, this becomes a monthly purchase because the Velcro won’t last longer than that. You will find yourself constantly reaching inside your pants to reattach the straps that came loose.

I’ve suffered with an inguinal hernia for over a year now, but minutes after putting the belt on I immediately felt relief. It gave me support throughout the whole day, and it didn’t restrict my movements at all. The adjustable nature of this allowed me to get just the right fit. This product is a lifesaver for a great price.

Five month update I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do NOT buy this. It is awful. The velcro on both of the understraps started to tear off. The main velcro on the waist belt will not stick to itself, but the pockets of my pants/shorts, you'd think it was super glue. This is very undependable and awkward because the straps will just randomly come off and then I have to go to the restroom to fix it. They need to make some MAJOR fixes to this. I am currently trying to get a hold of the seller/manufacturer about a warranty but of course there is no easy way to do that, trying to see if Amazon can get me connected with them to get a replacement to see if I got a "lemon" *** The Velcro on this is awful. It comes disconnected from the belt all the time (all three spots) but will stick to anything else like glue. But it pops off of the belt way too easily. Frustrating to have to deal with that all the time.

I've been using this product for 10 weeks as a bridge to surgery for my inguinal hernia. Received exactly as described and is of good quality. Over time, the velcro doesn't grip as firmly, but is still effective. The elastic waist strap has good tension, but will get a little looser over time, which is to be expected. The only downside is that as my hernia enlarged and protruded lower, the belt became a little less effective due to the fixed location of the compression pad. It not really a complaint, but something buyer's should be aware of. If the compression pad was a little larger, it may have helped, but would have most likely been more uncomfortable as the pad would have to be situated near the femoral crease between the thigh and groin. All in all, I am very pleased with this product. It does have its limitations, but that has more to do with the location and progression of the hernia rather than any design flaw or quality issue.

Where to start? The overall idea is great and for the first week or so I had no issues with the product. However, the build quality is not great in regards to the velcro straps. The hook parts do not stay connected. The edges continually curl off the belt and get caught in clothing. The waist hook is so warped now it will not stay attached. Kind of disappointed with this given the rest of the product is pretty good.
