10 inches wide, 8 inches high It's my favorite travel bag. It's light, has alot of pockets to organize. If it wasn't so utilitarian looking I would use it for my everyday bag.

it is more toward the soft and pliable, although not like a leather. It is not hard and crinkly. I would describe it like sailboat sail material
