A Good Screw

Ok for steel connectors, junk for anything else.
As far as using these on steel connectors, these work pretty well, but how often do you need a bunch of 2 7/8" screws going into steel connectors??In terms of using these for pretty much anything else, I would strongly advise against it. Using my 18v driver, I tried binding a couple of new 2x4's together and one screw after another failed: either the head popped off rather than counter-sink into the wood *or* the Torx seating stripped right out. I used 14 screws before giving up: seven of the heads popped off, six of them stripped out and only one did successfully counter-sink just below the surface, though this made for a very nice sharp point sticking out the other side. These things are just about 1/8" too long and need a serious quality control check before I would consider buying another package.
