Papo Wild Animal Kingdom Environments Set, The Zoo

The zoo is really cool and my grandson was so happy unfortunately he was sad because he thought the animals came with it that it showed on the picture and there are no animals or zookeeper in the box

My granddaughter had this as #1 on her Santa list. Fairly easy to put together. Sturdy!! The only bummer is cost for shipping is as much as the item is. She was VERY disappointed thatNO animals were included. It would have been helpful if that tidbit of I info was more evident.

I really love the idea and aesthetic of this toy and so does my son. Unfortunately the love I have for this toy stops there. Nothing is properly secured into place except the zoo sign and the block that holds the turnstile in. The rings that are meant to hold the background down are easily removable. We looked for a wood zoo for a long time. In theory I am happy with this purchase but I wouldn't recommend, something is just missing. It took us literally an hour to build this thing (adults) and my son (toddler) three minutes to see see how easy it was to take apart and do it. We even thought of using wood wood or gorilla glue to keep it together and after closer examination realized there was no space on the wood slits. Like I said great concept but poorly executed.

This is an excellent toy. It assembles very easily, and has very creative enclosures for young minds to play, especially if they have visited zoos for real. I have had hours of fun playing with this with my 3 year old grandson. He loves moving the animals around and putting people through the turnsile

This Papo "The Zoo" Playset almost ruined my son's Christmas after we found out that ANIMAL FIGURES ARE NOT INCLUDED. The whole idea of buying Papo Zoo was to save on animal figures, instead we got nicely painted but wobbly pieces of wood which fall apart every time you touch them. I'm a carpenter so it was a bit of a shock to see that reputable company Papo made such a mess. £58 for bits of wood is UNFAIR. The description on Amazon website doesn't say FIGURES ARE NOT INCLUDED, it only says "Number of Puzzle Pieces 27" so we assumed that animal figures are in this number 27. Only main box/package has small print "Figurines Papo not included, sold separately", but there's no picture of the box on Amazon website, even if it was you won't be able to read it due to small white print (see attached picture). I found similar reviews of this product later. No doubt, we LOVE Papo animals but this playset is a big disappointment.
