Affordable dupe that works just as well as PTR
I’ve was a loyal user of the Peter Thomas Roth FirmX peeling gel before, and this Skinfood Pineapple Peeling Gel works just as well for me at a much lower price. The formula is gentle but effective — it exfoliates without irritation and leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

Good for sensitive, dry skin
I use this product maybe once or twice a week at most. If you have dry but sensitive skin like I do I would recommend this product. It's mild but gets the job done. If you're looking to sandblast your face then I'd go with something more abrasive. I have really dry skin, and since this is mild I didn't see a difference until I had been using it regularly for about a month. It's more of a maintanence product than a miracle cure. I don't want a product to remove the top layer of my face so I'm pleased with it. If you have tougher skin you can probably get away with using it more often. A little goes a long way and it's definitely worth the price. It has a nice, light scent and leaves me feeling smooth without irritation. I've never been big on exfoliating products because they were almost universally too harsh. I've found Korean beauty products as a whole to be more gentle.

Don’t ruin this for underground pineapple society
So I genuinely debated not writing this bc I love this product so much and I don’t want people to ruin it. It is so affordable, the best exfoliator on the market, and I’ve been obsessed for years. All these tiktok trends with the sprays and serums that pill/exfoliate skin- this has been doing it for years, quietly, consistently. This is the ingredient in all those wannabes trying-to-be’s. Sometimes gatekeeping is okay. So keep this underground and don’t ruin this for me! Also, don’t contact the Underground Pineapple Society, we’re not interested in new members clout chasing.

HOLY GRAIL Exfoliator!
The premise behind peeling gels are that you are supposed to rub them onto your skin - and after a few minutes, little balls of your "dead skin cells" would form! I was skeptical about whether or not this claim of exfoliating off your dead skin is true or not, so I put this product to the classic test - I wore a rubber glove and rubbed some of this product onto a clean plate. I rubbed, and I rubbed, but no balls formed! It just felt like I was rubbing lotion onto a plate, really. So, I tried it on my face, and the little balls of my "dead skin" formed! Personally, I find that quite fascinating. However, it could just be the cellulose in the ingredients (provided in one of the pictures) forming balls, but the product makes my face really smooth, and exfoliated afterwards, despite being a very gentle exfoliator. The pineapple and fruit extracts this peeling gel contains help to brighten my skin. I find that with consistent use of this product; approximately twice a week, my acne scars have brightened quite considerably, and I haven't been breaking out as often. And when I do break out, I just exfoliate using this product, and overnight, my pimples appear to have died down. I always use this at night, but be sure to wear sunscreen the morning after. This product uses a-hydroxy-acids (AHA) and enzymes which help with the exfoliation, and you should always wear sunscreen when dealing with any type of AHA's. Generally, I use this on my face, but this works as an exfoliator on any part of your body as well! Using this on your feet, your hands, or even your elbows works great as well. This product has a really nice fruity and fresh pineapple scent that leaves my skin feeling refreshed! I don't find any cons to this product.

You have to know HOW TO USE THIS
Firstly, to anyone concerned that this product doesn't work, let me exclaim as loud as I can here, THIS PRODUCT WORKS. As someone who has worked in the professional skincare industry and worked alongside estheticians, I picked up a lot of valuable information from them. Firstly, a chemical peel, which is what this is, will NOT NECESSARILY feel abrasive on the skin, some of the strongest facials I ever had were feather light, and yet when it's done and over with, like with this peel, the results are noticeable. I want to carefully advise anyone who thinks it doesn't work, to mind that pineapple actually eats away at human flesh, and it's the active ingredient in this peel. I've found the formula to ball up on itself yes, but the slight grip allows it to grab at and exfoliate the skin better, it clings instead of being completely smooth like a lotion, but isn't abrasive as we all know that actually damages skin, the product is very strong so be careful, I didn't read the instructions and ended up dabbing far more than a quarters' amount into my skin and I ended up accidentally exfoliating my hands, too. I would recommend the following, to get the best results: firstly, use this with a pair of gloves. What exfoliates the face can and will exfoliate your fingertips. The product should be applied in quartered sections of the face, as the product dries really quicky. Rub in small circles until the area you're working on begins to feel smother. Everyone has different skincare needs, and thus the amount of exfoliating needed to achieve results may vary. It's best to begin with a dime sized amount, and slowly increase to meet your exfoliating needs. It's important to really hydrate the skin, and that's best done before bed so the skin can absorb the nutrients. This layer of skin is newer and more sensitive, the best moisturizer method is to start off with a light moisturizer and finish with a slightly richer one to absorb thoughout the night. Keep out of the sun for at least a week until your skin has had time to adjust to avoid sun damage. Happy peeling!😉

Great peeling gel
I’ve used this product for over 2 years and I love it. Really clears up dead skin and leaves your face clean without making it feel dry. I like using it before my derma roller. I will continue to use it and recommend it to my family and friends.
