Absolutely beautiful book, it has a lot of interesting information

My son is fish obsessed at the moment and has been pouring over this book non stop. He particularly like the little icon showing the size of the fish compared to the size of a man as this is usually one of his first questions. The book is full of beautiful images and informative diagrams and he is enjoying it immensely. He is only 5, so is reading this with assistance, but there is a lot of information in here so would be suitable for a much older child too.

I bought this for a ten year old budding marine biologist. Great illustrations and interesting and informative text. The whole family are enjoying it too.

I bought this book for myself a 70's year old pensioner because of the reputation of DK books. I knew it was going to be a large size physically and planned for that. However what I didn't realise was how heavy the book would be. This wouldn't be a problem for the fit and able but was for me. My solution was to wrap it up as an Easter present for our 9 year old grandson who father is a fisherman. Grandson absolutely loved the book and its variety and even opened the book before his Easter eggs. A superb book which I was sorry to pass on, but it went to a grateful recipient. Well done DK.

Great book, not as good as the dinosaur or animal version of this book. Not as many animals but still a great educational book with lots of large pictures!
