Great Sporty Armband
I am an Active Duty Marine and I use this thing every to every other day during my runs. It has seen a lot of mileage and has yet to show any wear and tear. I am very glad I purchased it as I can now compete with my friends using the Nike+ Running app on my phone which records speed and distance as well as a GPS visual of your run. I have a BlueTooth headset that I connect with my phone as I run so I can listen to music (it is also nice to hear the little cheers that play when someone 'likes' your run on Facebook if you are using the Nike+ app, highly motivational). I would like to mention that I do not like that I have to take my phone cover off to slip it in the armband, however, that is a personal issue and the product does exactly as advertised. Customer approved!

Works for me
Since the S4 is so big, this armband is kind of clunky. Doesn't slide down arm while I run. Was hard to change volume w/armband in. Took a little bit more concentration to use screen, but can still use it through plastic. Have a slim, smooth, rubber case, and there was more than enough room inside. My phone slid a little low and part of the bottom of the screen was covered while I ran. Has a hole for the back speaker and for headphones...got a call during run and other person could hear me while phone was in armband. LIttle key pocket is good for one house key, my rubber key grip won't even fit. 2 Slits to pull armband through, so if you have smaller or bigger arms, should fit either way, but will have lots of extra material flopping around if you have skinny arms.

Just didn't last
At first glance and use it worked well, but the flap that holds the phone in needs some form of restraint to hold it shut. After a month or so of use a couple times a week the strap has started to decay and pull away from the holder. The only thing holding it together at this point is the thin bit of webbing behind the armband's elastic. Keep looking for something else, it just doesn't hold up.

Band material coming apart after a month of use
After a month of regular use the material on the band has become detached from one side and is falling off the Velcro side as well. Additionally the elastic band is on the large size for me and I'm an average sized male. It fits the phone well and I like that it has openings on both sides for headphone jack, but it shouldn't be falling apart this soon.

Falling apart rather quickly
I am giving this product 2 stars primarily based on the poor lifetime of the product so far. I received the armband around July 17th, since then (11 days) I have gone on three runs totalling a little over 7 miles (a little over an hour if you want to base this on time spent with the product), worn it once mowing the lawn for about 30 minutes, and took it with my to the gym for both cardio and weight lifting for about an hour. Over the course of a little over 2 1/2 hours of actual product usage, the strap (near the point where the strap starts at the case) is starting to fall apart. The strap seems to be made of three materials, the flexible fabric, some foam padding, and the fabric that makes contact with the skin. The last two have broken completely off, and I can tell the flexible fabric is starting to wear because I find myself adjusting the tension of the strap mid-workout. Some of this started before my weight lifting exercises, which did involve some arm movement and flexing which may have contributed to it, but still ocurred after it started to wear.I did not necessarily buy this because it was the cheapest or one of the cheapest and the customer reviews had a lot to do with my decision. Looking at the selection of armbands for the S4 I now see a lot of products available that do not have any reviews on Amazon and I didn't think to look at other sites.I do like the price, it fit rather comfortably, and there is a headphone jack opening on both ends of the case if you prefer wearing the armband one way or the other. I was able to manipulate the phone's screen through the clear casing pretty well, but this is the first smartphone armband I've had so I have no baseline to compare against. It would be nice to have a way to coil the extra headphone slack, but this doesn't seem to be a feature on most other armbands.

Good Size
I have trouble finding arm bands that fit my large arms but this band was large enough. The case it's self is great but be warned there is no extra room in the pocket for your phone. If you keep it in a bulky case you might have a problem.

Enough room for the S4 Active, stays put well
Unlike other armbands I have tried, this one has enough room to slip the phone in easily. The controls are a little hard to reach, but then usually I just connect to my BT headphones, fire up Spotify, and start running or working out. The headphones let me change volume, skip tracks, and answer calls, so I don't really need to interface with the phone directly. The bumpy rubber back makes this feel cooler, and it does not have to be as tight as other bands to feel secure. It also has two size options, which is nice since it means my wife and I can both use it comfortably.

Not what I hoped for
First off it's somewhat a challenge to tighten when on your arm. It shifts around, so I had to pin it against my body to help, but even then it didn't tighten up too easily. Second, can't get to any buttons on the side of my phone, so if I wanted to turn it up I was trying to feel my way around the side, which was a struggle. Third, it's bulkier than I was expecting. Overall just not my favorite product. I ended up buying another one called i-Biason Sport Armand. Used it lastnight for the first time, LOVE it!
