Perfect For Tiny Bladders
My four year old daughter potty-trained herself, in about a week, right before she turned three years old. After that first week, she never had another accident, and she never once wet the bed. So, recently, when she had a couple of night-time accidents, I went looking for answers. It turns out that she is going through what a lot of kids go through: her body has grown faster than her bladder and, occasionally, it just can't keep up with her. She has been pretty calm about it; I told her that is was normal and that it happens to a lot of kids, and she has taken me at my word, which is great. She is a terrific, well adjusted kid.But I did want to do something to protect her mattress and save mommy from nocturnal bed changes. After reading lots of reviews, I purchased two of these BLUE MAX REUSABLE WATERPROOF BED PADS, and they are the perfect solution. First, these REUSABLE WATERPROOF BED PADS are large 34" x 36", and easily cover the area of the bed on which her bottom rests, as well as covering all the needed extra wiggle room. They are super soft, so that you can put them on top of the sheets, if you want to, and then just change the pad and not the sheets. And they are fabulously absorbent. I am always surprised by how much liquid such a tiny person can hold, but these pads can hold it all, and at the same time, they wick the moisture away from her, keeping her little body dry.As I said, I purchased two of these BLUE MAX BED PADS, and use an old trick to protect my daughter's privacy. I lay one pad on the mattress, and put a fitted sheet over it. Then I place the second pad on the top of the sheet, and place another fitted sheet over the top of the second pad. This way, if there is an accident, mommy can just remove the wet sheet and the wet pad, and put the little one back to bed. There is a nice dry sheet for my daughter, and minimum sleep disruption for me. In the morning, I just throw the sheet and the BLUE MAX BED PAD in the washer, and put the clean pad and sheet back on top of the bad. No muss, no fuss, and a happy, dry, sleeping child.I think this will be a short phase, and we won't need these BLUE MAX REUSABLE WATERPROOF BED PADS for very long, but for now, they are saving our sleep, the mattress, and my daughter's dignity.

Great for incontinent dog!
I got a pair of these (InvaCare - Reusable Bedpads - 34x36 in, absorbs 1800cc ) to lay on the floor where my dog (55lb smooth collie) sleeps to protect the carpet. She's badly incontinent and most of the time medication doesn't help much for the times she's sleeping so I was really hoping to find something that I could wash and have my room not smell like dog pee anymore. The blankets and bedding I had before helped but it would always soak through, and she wouldn't stay in a crate (she likes to stretch out) so I had to look for something waterproof to lay down where she likes to sleep.I have to say, I've had them for a month and a half now and they've worked very well and held up great. as long as her rear end is actually on top of the pad it doesn't soak off the edges but stays in the pad. One of the pads is at a relative's house where she stays often but the one I have here has been in use constantly and washed (and dried) 2-3 times a week in that time period, sometimes with bleach sometimes not, and so far it's held up great and still works 100%. Some of the other reviews (possibly not of this exact product as there seems to be a couple listed and reviewed on the same page) mentioned sliding around, obviously I've no idea how it would work in a bed, but my dog likes to dig her blankets and unless she's really restless and determined it stays put on the carpet just fine in spite of her pawing and fussing.I know it's not exactly the described useage but it's a great product and works excellently for absorbing dog urine anyway!! I can definitely recommend it for any similar situations. :) Planning to get a couple more so I can rotate them out and won't have to leave the floor unprotected while one is in the wash.Edit May 2015:I've had these pads in constant use since 2011 (2012 for the pair of larger pads I purchased). Washed weekly or better, frequently with bleach. They still work just as great with no leaks and don't even look old or worn. The only "wear" is damage on one corner where my dog chewed on the pad! This is seriously a long term durable product and I'm getting ready to buy a 5th for the back seat of my car right now. I haven't seen anything available in a store in person that even comes close for keeping my poor dog contained. I would recommend this without hesitation for anybody that needs to keep liquid like that contained. :)

Superb! Works really well!
I'm using this for my 4 yr old boy's bed, as he still occasionally wets at night. It works perfectly! It is waterproof and I found that it totally protected the lower layers of the bed sheets when my son wets at night. So now I can just take off the bed pad when it's wet and we're good to go again - no need to change the undersheets and mattress protectors! After washing it I've used tumble drying or line drying, and it works well with both methods (I was initially worried it would take a long time to dry, but this was not the case - it dried at the same speed as other items of clothing etc that I was drying at the same time).I am thinking of getting a second one, so that if he wets one I can put a new one on the bed right away.It has a nice 'heavy' feel to it, so it sits well on the bed. The only thing to be aware of is to position it carefully - if you have a highly active sleeper who 'travels' a lot or scrunches up his knees under him/her, the bedpad could bunch up a bit. This is what happened to us the first time I used it, but after that I figured out to position the bedpad a little bit lower on the bed so his knees were not going to mess it up. We have had no problems since - it lies nice and flat on the bed every time now. I can see how a lesser brand or a lighter bedpad would have a much bigger problem with bunching. We are thankful that this is nice and 'heavy'.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a child who still occasionally wets at night - it will definitely make your life way easier when an accident happens, especially when it's 4am!
