Sturdy, Easy to Assemble, (and MUCH Better Than My Trash Can!)
I absolutely love this rain barrel. Assembly was incredibly easy, and once everything was put together, I was impressed by how sturdy and substantial it feels. The barrel itself has a nice faux-wood look that blends into the yard much better than a big plastic container. I especially appreciate the brass spigot. It feels solid and durable and is a really nice upgrade over the plastic spigots Iโve seen on some other rain barrels. Iโve been collecting rainwater in whatever containers I could useโincluding a trash canโso this is a MAJOR improvement! It actually looks like something that belongs in the yard rather than something I dragged outside because rain was coming. The size gives me plenty of capacity without taking up an unreasonable amount of space, and the overall construction feels like it should hold up well outdoors. Now I just need Mother Nature to cooperate and actually give me some rain to put in it! Very happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting an attractive, sturdy, easy-to-set-up rain barrel.

Works great, looks good
We love the way the barrel looks. We had five days of rain immediately after buying this and it worked perfectly. We have it positioned flat side against the house with the gutter down spout stopping just above it. Some things I'd like to mention though; take care screwing in the brass spigot. Best to lay the barrel on its back and make sure the spigot is straight as you screw in. It took me about 4 tries getting it straight in, and it would drip. Be careful because the brass will start to strip the plastic. But once I got it perfectly straight, no leak/drip. The instructions also say hand tighten, but it leaked, so I did use a wrench to turn it one complete turn after I couldn't hand turn it, and that solved the leak, but go easy. The one negative is the spigot is really low on the bottom, no room to attach a hose as is, so set in on top of something. Either buy the stand accessory made to go with it, or we used paver bricks that matched our pavers to set it on to raise it up enough to attach a hose. Overall, would recommend.

Ok....so far.
A few things to note: 1. These barrels MUST be in a shaded area. The material is not built to be exposed to prolonged sun. 2. The screen needs to be screwed in place. screws are in the bag with the tape. There are no pre-drilled holes because you can screw them in free-hand (which indicated the softness of the plastic, therefore no prolonged sun exposure) 3. If you are connecting multiple barrels, you have to drill a hole in the protruding, odd shape piece to the rear of the barrel. 4. Spigot is a "hit or miss". Sometimes it screws in perfectly and does not leak, other times it is not threading properly and leaks. For those that leak, you can block the spigot completely, connect it to another barrel and use that spigot or if you only have one, you have to find a way to patch it. 5. This barrel is enclosed without a removable lid so if you are going to connect multiple barrels, you have to drill the hole for that first and insert the connector through the opening where the screen is inserted then insert the screen after. 6. Lift the barrel on sturdy bricks, blocks or wooden fixture, the plastic stand recommended to hold it will buckle once the 50-gallon barrel is full. Overall, if you can get the spigot inserted correctly and the barrel didn't come warped so the screen fits perfectly, it is a good barrel to catch rain water to use for garden beds, washing cars etc.

Solid and definitely a good buy!
PROS: Super easy to setup; solid made, not flimsy, the screen on top keeps stuff out of the water, the spigot is solid and easy to use. Iโve used others that have plastic spigots and they get stuck or break easily CONS: havenโt found any yet but will edit in the future if needed

Good size and easy to set up.

Nice
Easy to assembly and move. Regular hose fits spigot and barrel does go flat against the house wall. I recommend setting on bricks if not using the stand.

Defective Product
I purchased the 50 gallon brass spigot rain barrel. I am having two issues with the product: the screen does not fit well in the rectangular opening on the top of the barrel & there are no holes in the barrel top to screw the screen into as shown in the manual. The screen appears to be just a little too large to fit snugly into the inset opening on the barrel top making it impossible to secure and leaving a gap for insects. I contacted the manufacturing company but after three weeks, they have not resolved the issue.

Great rain barrel
Great rain barrel. Sturdy and so far no leaks. I installed it on some patio stones in order to raise it off the ground. I use the rain water to fill my watering cans.

Looks good, mostly what I wanted
I like the look of this rain barrel. I did buy the stand too after I set this up. Otherwise itโs hard to get flow from the spigot. The screen is a good idea, just wish the opening were bigger so I could stick the watering can or pump (for emptying) inside.

Holds water if you set it up right
I was concerned when I purchased my first rain barrel because of the handful of complaints here in the reviews but I went ahead with the purchase anyhow. After it arrived I set it up and put it under a downspout that I modified. This was the most difficult part of the shole exercise. The barrel held water after the first rain and then after subsequent rains, it filled and excess water came out of the overflow. There were no leaks because I followed the instructions during set-up. In the end, I purchased two more and have been watering my garden for the past several months using the stored rainwater. I have come to the conclusion that the complaints were from people who cross threaded the spigot or did something else wrong because the barrels I got were all well constructed and easy to assemble.
