Gets the job done
I bought this for my chickens but my ducks love it too. There are a couple of grips I have about it though. One, the rubber stopper to stop the water flow on the down spout doesn't hold the water good enough while filling up the tank. It leaks quite a bit, even when moved to fully cover the hole. The legs fall off really easily when moving the tank....and when its full....its heavy! So you have to lay it down on its side to retrieve the leg (or legs when multiple fall off at once) and put them back on.Other than that, its great and holds enough water for a good long while. Gets the job done.

Perfect for watering the chickens!
Easy to fill however when the lid is off, the water will overflow out the bottom. As soon as the lid gets screwed down tight, the water will not spill over.

Zero Stars.
This thing is dangerous. I put it together and took it out to my chicken run. I then filled it with water. Shortly after that, the plastic broke on one of the legs sending this tumbling onto one of my chickens. I do not recommend as it cannot even hold the weight of the water its rated to hold. Save your money. This is a complete rip off and a hazard to your animals.

Sturdy & Easy to Assemble
I like this waterer a lot. It holds 8 gallons. I purchased for my 18 birds. I was having problems with it even though I watched a youtube video fir instructions. It wouldn't refill the tray and would be almost dry after a day or so. Then I noticed a piece of plastic sticking out if the feeder hole. (In the photo.) I trimmed off that plastic and it seems to work better for now. I'm going to keep an eye in it for a couple if days to make sure. I have a back up waterer I'm using in the meantime. Because of the small neck at the top it makes it a bit difficult to clean the inside. I made a swabstick to help clean off the bottom and a high pressure hose. Because it holds 8 gallons it is very heavy when full. So, you need to put the waterer in place (level) then fill it. I am very happy with my purchase. It was simple to put together and is very sturdy.

Best waterer for chickens
All the others don’t work. This is the one. Wish I got it sooner.

Cannot Use Anymore
I had high hopes for this thing but the little rubber thing you move up and down to block the water flow while filling does not perfectly plug both holes so it floods everywhere until we can get the top sealed or unless I have a second person nearby to plug it manually with their fingers. Which is dirty when you have 14 ducks and 12 chickens drinking out of it. The legs also just do not stay on. Even if you really click them in and give the whole thing a good press into the ground, unless you're on level concrete, this thing wouldn't stay out. It's fallen numerous times. The legs should not be removable. Or it needs a more stable base. Yesterday it fell multiple times and the final straw was when it fell and managed to rip a hole in the hardware cloth of our run, which I didn't even think was possible.

Difficult Assembly
The legs were difficult to snap into place, we were afraid of breaking them. We are using it but if you pick it up one leg falls off.

BUYER BEWARE
At first I was excited about my little giant waterer, it looked like it was going to be a perfect solution for me.A few days after initial set up I realized the gasket that moves up or down to cover the hole the water comes out of was defective. It was too lose and would not stay in up place to allow water to flow out properly. This became an issue and it started reverse vacuuming the dirty water (I have 2 ducks and 5 chickens) back up into the dome so the entire dome of water was dirty.I messaged the seller (and sent images) and asked if they could send me a new gasket and I would be happy to do the work to replace the part to have a functioning waterer. They indicated they do not have parts and are unable to do that. Their solution was "bleach the inside of the waterer but this doesn't solve the root issue here of the loose gasket which I replied to them asking about again. They asked me to send the item back for a refund. They refused to send me a label to ship the item back so I had to pay $50 to send a used, defective waterer back to them. After they received it back, they decided they were only going to refund me 50% of the purchase price because the unit was dirty, remember I had already sent them images of the defect and told them what was happening so when they offered a refund they were aware it was dirty. So now I'm out half the cost of the defective unit and all of my shipping cost. After some back and forth with them and not being able to get a proper resolution I filed and AtoZ claim with amazon. Thankfully amazon looks after its customers and was able to mediate finding me in the right and refunded the rest of my money. I'm still out $50 for the shipping but at least the cost of the item came back to me.The fact that they refunded 50% only because the unit isn't resalable is also of concern to me. Besides that they knew that before asking me to send it back, they also knew it was used, so are they reselling used units that come back for return? That seems to be a biosecurity issue to me no?Do yourself a favour and check out the Ukal Canada. Its built well, the gasket is tight and its a fraction of the price!
