Our son is 2 years and 5 months old in the video, he did it a few times before I took the Video so it wasn't a one time thing. We bought the safety handle so he couldn't get out of his room at night because there are difficult stairs in our summer house, we were disappointed in the product.

These are probably the only adult proof door knob covers out there. I thought these were going to be the ones that have a rubber grip on the inside so that all you have to do is squeeze it and it will grip the door knob. Nope you have to have a large enough hand t reach your thumb and middle finger through the holes to pinch the door knob. You then have to have enough hand strength to turn it while uncomfortably pinching it. These are pure garbage.

This product is a second attempt at a door-knob cover for me.The first product I tried was a doorknob cover made by munchkin. It worked for a while, until my toddler decided to pull on the cover. He pulled hard enough that he got the cover to un-snap and fly off the doorknob. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I snapped it back on the doorknob, but my toddler immediately did it again. The snap mechanism sticks up like a button on the Munchkin design, I think this is the problem as it give my kid something to pull on.However, the mechanism for this Dreambaby product does not stick up at all. The doorknob cover is smooth all the way around. I've watched my toddler pull and hang on this doorknob cover and he has not been able to get it off. He just ends up spinning it around and around. Woo-Hoo! I've only been using it for 10 days so far and will update if there is a change in toddler-doorknob cover relationship, but currently the doorknob cover is winning. <phew>I should mention, though, that the little hole meant for lock access is pretty small. I can only just get my fingers in there to turn the lock. I don't my husband can.

I tried many brands before I found this one and these by far are the greatest. They are decent quality and actually fit our door knobs. I have a newer house, built in 2014, and I thought the knobs were " typical size." Apparently, there were not. The other brands didn't fit because the neck of the door knob (side closet to the door) didn't fit around the base. These fit great!! One of the best things for me, is that I don't have a hard time openings doors either. The openings on the cover are big enough to offer just the right amount of space to be able to grab the knob and turn it. I recommend these to anyone who has a newer house that has more modern and up to date hardware on the doors!!

Works great, almost peed myself trying to get in my bathroom.

These made my 2 year old great granddaughter angry, but they made me very happy because now she can’t open the door to the basement! These are a little easier to use than the ones I previously had - those had a part that had to be squeezed against the doorknob to open the door but these have openings that we can get our finger and thumb against the doorknob. With the other type the protector would slip if you didn’t press pretty firmly so these make that easier for my older, weaker hands, while still making it hard for that little toddler hand to get a good grip in the knob. Would buy again.

We have two toddlers (1 and 3) who have figured out how to open doors. We needed the ability to close doors and keep them shut without locking them. We also have a bathroom door that doesn’t have a lock so we put one of these on the door so the kids won’t bust in. I LOVE these!! They are SO simple to install and similarly easy to uninstall for cleaning regularly. We have crystal door knobs so I wasn’t sure how these would work with them but they do flawlessly. I also love how we can easily switch them to different doors according to our needs (we often use them on the outside of the kids rooms when we have guests over so the kids aren’t getting into mischief upstairs).

These serve the purpose, but they make it really hard for an adult to open the door. If you have a door handle with a push-and-turn lock on the front end, the hole on the end of these knob covers it really too small to allow adult fingers through to lock or unlock the door know.

This is my second purchase of door covers, of a different brand, to try to find some that fit over my new doorknobs. Apparently the size of door knobs has changed over the years but the covers have not. I had another brand and I couldn't get the base of the covers to lock back together as the knob was too thick and the hole too small. I was reluctant to try another brand, as I assumed they were all the same, but I read a review mentioning that these ones work in a similar situation, so I gave them a whirl! I will be ordering more.

I bought these when we moved my 2 year old from his crib to big boy bed. He was then free the escape, oh and he did! We needed a solution and fast! Amazon Prime to the resuce. Ordered these bad boys and voila! One trapped toddler and 2 thankful parents.

These break easily. Our two year old toddler broke three already (we bought a few packs); once a kid realizes he/she can simply bang it around a bit (with fists or toy), that's pretty much it. The clips are way too flimsy, once broken the cover falls to the floor and the knob is full accessible. They are also somewhat of a pain to use for adults, especially those with smaller hands. It does work, mostly, and you can discipline your children as you do hear it when they are trying to break it, but a child-proofing gadget like this should be tougher, much tougher. A bit disappointing.

Best Bang for your buck on the market.When installed properly these seem like very durable items that will be hard to remove for the child. If your child is big enough or strong enough or smart enough to figure out how to remove them, it is probably because they are old enough that the adults should have taught them not to touch the door handle Etc.

I don't even remember how long ago I bought these but they are still working and they are doing wonder. awesome product. would recommend this anyway to anyone with kids between 1-3. only reason I'm giving a 4 star is they open up once in a while but nothing is perfect.
