Worthy Read
I read this book in one sitting yesterday afternoon. It was an easy yet very engaging read. It can be difficult to create a book of substance when the entire plot plays out in a matter of days, but Summers was able to do this. The plot was extremely engaging and the characters were very likeable. There were no real surprises once the identity of the killer was revealed, but the story still held my interest. There were enough twists and turns to keep me turning the pages. My only complaint was the development of the love story between two strangers in just a few days. I can get behind a concept of “lust at first sight” and I can even believe “love at first sight”, but I have a hard time with undying love and soul mate type of connection within days of meeting. This aspect of many lesbian novels makes them feel formulaic and like cheap romance novels when the story does not need to go in this direction in order to be interesting and entertaining – in other words containing the obligatory sex scene. So this is not a fine piece of literature, but an entertaining novel that captivated my attention for a few hours. If this is what you are looking for, then Season of the Wolf is worthy of your attention.

LOVED it!
Holy cow, I LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down-literally read it late into the night before I finished it. I purchased another one of Robin's books as soon as I read the last word. This is one author I will DEFINITELY keep on my list to purchase all of her books! Season of the Wolf had suspense--like white knuckle gripped onto the edge of my Kindle kind of suspense!, and romance--which left me also gripping the edge of my Kindle! ;)I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a quality read in the lesfic genre!

Love the cover - Love the story!
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Yes things were a little rushed, but sometimes love happens quickly. Devon has been running from her serial killer father go over 10 years. He finds her again, but this time she finally meets two people that listen to her story and want to help. Jordan a detective that needs to heal herself and her partner Harry. Loved it!

Good Suspense Great Characters Romantic Thriller
The book was really good. The characters were well written and likeable and have chemistry with eachother. There was good suspension towards the end with the killer since you are told who it is fairly early on. The ending was wrapped up nicely. All in all has the qualities needed for a good read so enjoy! PS not a bad bed scene.

Enjoyable thriller and romance
'm somewhat new to the genre of Lesbian fiction having only read a handful in the past but jumped at the chance to read this when it popped up on my Netgalley screen and I'm glad I did.Devon comes to work one morning to find two of her coworkers dead, clearly murdered. The situation isn't new to her. She's seen it before and been on the run for 10 years from a killer who stalks her and leaves bodies in his wake. She's ready to run again knowing he's found her but the police pick her up as a witness.Devon's been down this road before and says nothing about what she knows counting the minutes until they let her go and she can run. But Lieutenant Henry Wayne sees something in Devon he can't let pass and he calls in his former partner, Jordan Salinger.Jordan's had a tough time at it as well. Shot when a call goes sideways she's been rehabbing unsure of her future and agrees to come in to talk to a witness out of respect for Henry.Jordan needs someone to save and Devon is finally tired of running and when the two meet everything comes pouring out and the murders and the man behind them is more horrifying than they could have imagined. The mystery and police procedural twists and turns through some predictable territory but it's a far different take than usual because we know who the killer is, it's just a matter of catching him. And we learn some about him with is POV but the author doesn't bog us down in it. I also liked how the author took a typical plot device, their escape to the cabin, and gave a completely reasonable reason for it occur.I loved Devon and Jordan as characters. Real women who act like real women with strengths, weaknesses, and ideals that conflict. Their relationship moves quickly if you consider the time line but felt slow as they felt each other out and realized they held the missing pieces for each other. Finally, I was gratified to see that sexual orientation was not a factor in the book. No anti gay slandering or homophobic rhetoric. Even our bad guy, a religious nut if there every was one, isn't concerned with orientation. It meant the story could focus on where it belonged - the characters and the plot.I do hope this author continues writing and would love to see more novels by her.Received a copy of this story from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Excellent lesbian mystery!
What would you do if a murderer was after you? Would you go to the police, hire a private investigator or run? Devon James has decided to run.when she found two co-workers dead at work, she decides to run again. However the police arrive and they have questions for her.jordan Salinger has been on leave from her job as a police detective due to a bullet wound. She has been called by her partner to work on this investigation. Devon is tired of running from this killer so decides to work with Jordan to catch the killer. This novel is fast paced. It definitely isn't slow. The romance starts early in the book but it is okay. The characters are well developed. Some of the scenes are especially vivid and stay with you. It's an excellent romantic lesbian mystery to read.Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book free from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I was not obliged to write a favorable review, or even any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.
