Can the crossovers be disabled? I want to use this on component speakers that have independent ones.

I think if you put the crossover in “Flat” mode you are essentially disabling the crossover.

If i'm connecting 4 4-ohm speakers, would I need to run them in series? If not, how should I wire them?

If you run all 4 speakers in series, you would need to match the Ohm rating of the channel to the total amount of Ohms per speaker. That means your amp would need to have at least a 16 Ohm rating for the channel so you run the speakers in series. If you run in parallel, its the opposite. You would need a 1 Ohm rating for the channel in order to run four 4 Ohm rated speakers in parallel. Its super confusing, I know but once you get it down, it makes more sense.

What is the gage wire recommended for use?

They recommend 8 but I used 10. My wire length to the battery was les than 8' though.

Can it run more than 8 6x9s?

That depends on the wattage of your 6x9’s. Im using 2 or these amps for 8 6x9’s the are 200 peak wards/100 watt rms each and it sounds great have had no issues.
