Das Sony FE 24–240 mm F3.5–6.3 OSS ist für mich ein echtes All-in-One-Objektiv, das besonders auf Reisen oder für den Alltagseinsatz eine ganz besondere Stärke ausspielt. Ich habe es mir als flexible Ergänzung zu lichtstärkeren Festbrennweiten geholt – und genau in dieser Rolle glänzt es. Verarbeitung & Handling Das Objektiv ist sehr solide verarbeitet und wirkt robust genug für den täglichen Einsatz. Mit rund 780 g ist es zwar kein Leichtgewicht, aber in Anbetracht des Brennweitenumfangs durchaus noch kompakt – gerade wenn man bedenkt, dass man mit einem einzigen Objektiv vom Weitwinkel bis in den Telebereich alles abdecken kann. Der Zoomring läuft sauber und satt, der Fokusring ist griffig, der Mount sitzt stabil. Auch das Wetter- und Staubschutzdesign (trotz nicht vollständiger Abdichtung) ist ein willkommener Bonus, gerade im Outdoor-Bereich. Bildqualität & Leistung Natürlich darf man bei einem so extremen Zoom nicht erwarten, dass es die Abbildungsleistung einer Festbrennweite oder eines G-Master-Zooms erreicht – aber was das 24–240 mm leistet, ist wirklich beeindruckend: Scharf in der Mitte über den gesamten Brennweitenbereich hinweg Die Bildränder sind bei Offenblende etwas weicher, werden aber abgeblendet gut Farben sind natürlich, der Kontrast solide Der integrierte OSS-Bildstabilisator arbeitet sehr zuverlässig – vor allem bei längeren Brennweiten oder schwachem Licht Gerade bei gutem Tageslicht liefert das Objektiv durchgängig sehr ansprechende Resultate, egal ob Landschaft, Porträt, Street oder Zoomaufnahmen. Brennweite & Flexibilität Das Highlight ist zweifellos die extreme Brennweitenspanne von 24 bis 240 mm. Das bedeutet: Weitwinkel für Architektur, Landschaft, Innenräume Mittlerer Bereich für Street, Alltag, Dokumentation 240 mm Telebereich für Tieraufnahmen, Details oder diskretes Fotografieren Besonders beim Reisen oder Wandern genießt man es sehr, nicht ständig Objektive wechseln zu müssen. Auch für Events, Märkte, Spaziergänge oder Situationen, in denen man flexibel auf wechselnde Motive reagieren will, ist dieses Objektiv einfach ideal. Vergleich zu anderen Objektiven Ich habe u. a. das Sony 28–70 mm sowie das Tamron 28–200 mm verwendet: Im Vergleich zum 28–70 mm Kit-Zoom ist das 24–240 mm um Längen vielseitiger – mit deutlich mehr Reichweite und vergleichbarer Bildqualität Gegenüber dem Tamron 28–200 mm ist das Sony etwas schwerer, bietet aber den Vorteil eines echten 24 mm Weitwinkels, was gerade für Landschaft oder Vlogging sehr praktisch ist. Das Tamron ist etwas lichtstärker (F2.8–5.6) und geringfügig kompakter – aber das Sony spielt seine Stärken in der Stabilität und robusteren Verarbeitung aus Kleine Kritikpunkte Die Lichtstärke ist eher durchschnittlich, was bei schwachem Licht oder Indoor-Fotografie schnell an Grenzen führt Die Naheinstellgrenze ist bei Tele mit ca. 80 cm nicht besonders beeindruckend, aber ausreichend Für richtig hohe Ansprüche an Schärfe & Freistellung greife ich weiterhin zu Festbrennweiten Fazit Wer ein Objektiv sucht, das möglichst viel abdeckt, zuverlässig arbeitet und eine große Brennweite in einem einzigen Gehäuse vereint, wird mit dem Sony 24–240 mm FE sehr zufrieden sein. Es ist ein idealer Allrounder für Urlaub, Alltag und spontane Shootings – mit der typischen Sony-Qualität und einem sehr angenehmen Handling. Ich würde es nicht als einziges Objektiv für anspruchsvolle Fotografie verwenden – aber als ergänzendes, sehr vielseitiges Tool ist es ein echter Gewinn im Equipment.

Un gran objetivo y con una gran versatilidad. Su gran inconveniente es el excesivo peso que tiene (casi 800 gr). Aun así, le doy las cinco estrellas porque el peso no es lo más importante. Enfoca muy rápidamente y encuadra con mucha precisión. Merece la pena el gasto.

First off any product has to be based against the cost and my review is based on this premise. Although the list price of this at time of purchase was over £920 I paid £445 which, by any consideration is a bargain. I was on a lightning deal for £515 and then when I looked there was another £70 off when it was put in my basket. Honestly, it was too good to ignore. Bottom line is that this is a high(ish) end lens for a bargain bin price when I bought it. That being said, for the thick end of a thousand quid today there are probably better options around. If you can get it around the five hundred quid mark then you have nailed a winner. Quality of manufacture. Superb. This has heft and smoothness that only comes with a well made product. In your hand you genuinely feel you have a product where some care has been put into it's materials, design and quality in order to justify the price. To use it is smooth acting and all of the functions are slick and naturally well integrated into your Sony camera. I - well my wife who is a better photographer than I am - have used thin on an A7 and A6100 and on both it works beautifully. Because it's a Sony lens designed for the FE mount lenses it has the all important anti-shake function available. It's important because the zoom is good and thus holding the camera free hand inevitably means any movement is highly exaggerated. Actually, one of the only downsides of this lens is that thanks to it's size and weight, when used on the A6100 the balance does not feel right. On the A7 it's perfect as the slightly larger dimensions allow a better grip and more comfortable hold. Clearly, being a 24-240 lens, at the extreme ends of it's range there are inevitable compromises. At full zoom you are limited in aperture so you loose some speed. In most situations that's not a huge issue but perhaps in lower light conditions or in a forest then this is not ideal. At the other end there is a little more distortion at the edges than a dedicated wide angle lens. Correctable in Lightroom/Photoshop of course. From the so far limited use I have had, in good light my images are pin sharp. I mean really sharp. This lens is a huge step up from the cheaper 3rd party lenses in my opinion. Weight. Yep, it's heavier than some lenses but not massively so. To be honest it just lifts it out of the range of very light lenses that seem a bit 'low rent' without falling into the category of lenses that need a mobile crane to use. In other words, it's a nice balance of sensation and I personally find that a bit of heft helps me hold a steadier picture if not used on a tripod. Which, is the reason for having this lens. Given the focal range and not too ridiculous size this really is a perfect 'go to' lens. It coves a huge range and means that if you are just nipping out and don't want to think too much about what you need, then this will mean you are covered for most photography opportunities. So, bottom line is that for the money I paid for it, I don't think I could possibly complain. This is a great general purpose lens that may not excel in all areas but does mean that you will have at your hands a capable tool for most photography trips without thinking too much about it.

Ho comprato il Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS per avere un unico obiettivo versatile da portare sempre con me, e devo dire che mi ha davvero soddisfatto. Copre una gamma di focali enorme dal grandangolo al tele, così posso fotografare paesaggi ampi, dettagli lontani e ritratti senza cambiare lente, cosa che per me in viaggio è un grande vantaggio. La stabilizzazione ottica (OSS) funziona molto bene, soprattutto quando scatto a mano libera verso il tele, e mi permette di ottenere foto nitide anche in condizioni di luce non perfette. L’autofocus è fluido e silenzioso, cosa che apprezzo tanto sia nelle foto di strada sia nei video. È vero che non è il più luminoso e che alcune ottiche dedicate possono dare una nitidezza maggiore, ma per l’uso quotidiano e da viaggio è un compagno eccellente: non devo più portarmi dietro due o tre lenti diverse, e la qualità delle immagini è sempre più che buona. Utilizzato su Sony alpha 7cII In pratica, se cercate un obiettivo tuttofare per full-frame compatto, capace di adattarsi a moltissime situazioni senza rinunciare a una resa solida, questo Sony è stata una scelta che rifarei.
