I was worried about getting too small of a unit for my garage (100+ summers). I had gotten the 9k model and probably should have gone 12k. Even so, it does manage to keep up even on the hottest days. While on the scorching days it won’t cool much past 78, that’s all I want anyway. Once I get a door with better insulation and insulate the ceiling it should be just fine. Installation was pretty simple but if you DIY this, it’s a bit more of an advanced project due to the need to cut, flange, and vacuum the lines. Still, it was fun learning these tasks and there are lots of great videos to guide you if you’re comfortable with it. After installing myself it’s still going strong entering the second summer we’ve had it.

This unit is amazing. It is whisper quiet. It works great. I have it in my bedroom which had no air in there. I have never had anything like this before and I love it. I hope to get another one or two to put in my house instead of using a window AC unit.

I am handy, but my no means a professional. I installed this Mini Split and then called a HVAC guy in to evacuate the lines prior to releasing the Freon. The HVAC guy said my installation was perfect, and he had it checked and running in 10 Minutes. Now he charged me $500 for his time, but he drove 4 hours round trip for me because I know him from another are where I own rentals. I could have done that part myself but I wanted peace of mind. It was well worth it. Unit is perfect for a 1 bedroom 600 sq feet house, and is working very well now 2 months into ownership. It was blowing a fuse often in the beginning, but a quick call to my HVAC guy cleared that up. I was setting it at 62F and it likes to run no lower than 68F. Its not going to get colder than that anyway. At 68F it keeps the house very cool and dry in Tallahassee summer heat. Enjoy

I bought the 9000 BTU, 220 VAC mini split from Senville. I installed everything except the refrigerant lines. The installation went very well. I felt the instructions could have been better. They were adequate though. Better illustrations would help a lot, and instructions could lean on illustrations more often. Operating the mini split exceeds my expectations. The indoor and outdoor units are very quiet. There are many useful features to choose from to tailor to the user's needs. Can't say enough good about how the unit operates.

We are going into our second summer with the unit and so far it has worked great in the cold and the heat. I even have it on a schedule with Alexa so my office it nice and cozy every morning regardless of the temp outside. Install was easy but I did have to get the vacuum pump to prep the lines before letting the Gas in the unit go.

Up First: it appears the seller has updated this listing to a newer model, mine was not wifi-enabled. Still, I'd definitely do business with this particular seller again for one key reason: shipping. The unit was nicely strapped down to a pallet and shipped freight (FedEx Freight to be specific). While it might not be obvious, mini splits benefit from shipping this way vs. just slapping a shipping label on the box as damage is far less likely vs being thrown around in a truck. Making an appointment with the freight delivery guy wasn't difficult, and I was given the opportunity to look over the pallet for damage before accepting, unlike a courier who might just throw the box on your porch when you aren't around. I installed this myself with the help of a few hours of youtube and reading other reviews. Just know user assumes all risks when this method is selected, but I had little option given the remote location I needed this installed. I'm pretty handy and mechanically inclined, so I took the risk. I've had the unit installed for a total of two weeks, mounted on a bracket on a side wall. The indoor unit is whisper quiet, the outdoor unit is hardly noticeable except when the compressor is ramping up or down. Again, since I am in a very remote rural location that is very quiet, I doubt anyone would notice this at all in a suburban environment. Just a heads up if you're thinking about sound levels, if you're super sensitive you might want to put this on a pad on the ground. One thing to bear in mind that isn't always obvious in the various videos or manual is that this unit does require the line set be a minimum of 10 ft. long. Everything seems of suitable quality and if you've comparison shopped you know the value here. At this point I cannot comment on longevity, but so far so good. I certainly appreciate the cold air.

Background: have installed mini-splits in a lot of different applications, numerous brands, and generally love the flexibility they offer. Summary: lower-end unit but works at the right price point Pros: inexpensive. Unit was well-packed, with all parts, and operated on install. Nitro pressure tested at 400PSI. Cons: - Poor cable routing path through unit head. You have to fish the 10-AWG sized cable through a space that was not thought out. - Wire connecting pins do not fit screw taps unless you pinch them first. Small item but frustrating when your are installing several. - Lacks full-size installation template - which could easily have been paper like other units or stenciled on the box. Reason this matters: the mounting plate is OFFSET and not centered on the unit. If you are trying to center the unit over a window, for example, you have to go to a cryptic chart inside the instructions that has numerous models, with two bracket types. It takes 10 minutes just to figure out the diagram of measurements. - Wiring diagram misleading: it DOES have a color-coded diagram, but it is not what is in the manual -- rather it is a sticker put on the outside of the unit...along with a couple OTHERS that DO NOT match or are for something else. - SEER 2? Holy cow. I did not think that level of inefficiency was allowable, but I considered that in the price. Minus one star for all those things. But the other minus-star: - WIFI setup and control options are difficult and lacking. Getting the WIFI module connected is a pain. "Press the LED button seven times" What? Half the time the unit does not recognize that you pressed the LED button, and even after connected you may be left with a WIFI module continually flashing forever. - The remote is TERRIBLE and ROUTINELY gets UN-SYNCED from the unit. For example, your remote might say you are set to "72" and "cool" but the unit is actually set to "68" and "heat." Looking at your remote will fool you. You have to point it at the unit within 15 feet or so and cycle through modes and temps until the unit beeps in response. - Once you DO get WIFI set up, the options are lacking. You cannot set a temp window for Auto (like 65-74), but rather just "auto" and a target temp. Bottom line, it is a decent price point, but mediocre unit.
