A Leaf Vacuum That Actually Delivers!
Certified review junkie. I rely on them to make informed purchases, and I expect products to live up to their promises. After a year of searching for the perfect outdoor leaf vacuum, I finally found this one. And let me tell you, it's a breath of fresh air in a world of fake or exaggerated reviews. I didn't have unrealistic expectationsβjust a simple request: great suction, a vacuum that could handle pebbles, stones, and previously laid mulch without undoing all my hard yard work without a sweat. And guess what? This one fit the bill! The power and suction quality are top-notch, and the value is unbeatable. Just a heads-up: I found the cord to be short, so if you have a larger property, you'll need an extension cord to keep the suction party going. The design...meh. But that's a small price to pay for a product that actually does what it says it will. In short, this leaf vacuum is a winner. It's reliable, effective, and won't leave you feeling raked over the proverbial pebbles.

Great Mulcher - Easy to use.
So with great skeptisism after reading all the reviews of these types of blower/mulchers, I decided to give this one a try. I have used the unit twice and only as a vacuum/mulcher. Will try to simplify and address some of the issues others have had. The B&D 6000 was fairly easy to assemble taking about 10 minutes to get it put together and begin start vacuuming. Parts snapped together securely, although the manual is not overly well laid out, it was sufficient enough since there are only a few parts to assemble. Ergonomically I can see how the unit may be heavy for some older folks, but the metal impeller and heavy duty construction are a solid tradeoff to insure longevity and mulching power. I mulched up randon small piles of leaves that had accumulated in the corners of my concrete deck/stair area, and it had plenty of suction to scoop them up quickly and mulch them up without clogging, even though some were still a tad bit damp underneath. Many who complained of dust I assume are mulching completely dry leaves and while there was some residual dust, I was fine with the amount since I was in my work clothes and didn't care. Never was there so much dust that I felt the need for eye protection, however I wouldn't take my experience to be 100% the norm since different leaves and yard waste probably react differently to being mulched. Suffice it to say that I did have some dust on my black shorts, but no more than the debris I would have encountered trying to rake and hoist up piles of leaves into a tarp. The bag was sufficient enough in size to handle a good amount of the leaves I mulched up in the backyard, but needed to be dumped to continue to the frontyard's work. While the bag didn't seem overly cheap, the zipper was more like one you'd find on a lightweight hoodie than what you'd expect on this type of equipment. Having read these reviews, I carefully opened the long zipper that allowed all the mulch to easily fall into the garbage can allocated for this purpose and closed it back up to conitinue. I can see how this bag attachment may become damaged at some point since it's made of a lightweight canvas and the shoulder strap is less than comfortable to wear. I may try to switch out another shoulder strap from an old duffle bag that's longer and has a pad...this would be a big improvement IMO. The design of the unit itself allows the operator to hold one of two handles while vacuuming, and i found that the further back one seems to give a better balance point and thus less wear and tear on my arms. In summary, I am very happy with the suction and mulching ability of this unit. Does exactly what it advertises, with some slight improvements, it would be a 5 star. Maybe B&D is reading these reviews and will make them! Right!

Leaf vacuum - game changer
The leaf vacuum is so much better than a leaf blower and wish I got one a few years ago. Instead of spreading leaves all over, the vacuum picks them up, grinds them down and then you can use the clippings for garden fertilizer or put them at the curb for the town to pick up. The vacuum will even pick up very wet leaves. I'm 59 and found the leaf vacuum very easy to use and not heavy even with a full bag of ground up leaves. I emptied the bag 10x = 40 gallons to clear my backyard which has 6 large maple trees.

Powerful & Versatile Leaf Blower/Vacuum!
This BLACK+DECKER Leaf Blower, Vacuum, and Mulcher is a game-changer for yard cleanup! The blower function is powerful, easily clearing leaves and debris from my driveway and lawn. The vacuum and mulcher work great for collecting and shredding leaves, significantly reducing bag waste. Switching between functions takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, itβs very efficient. The bag holds a good amount, and the lightweight design makes it easy to use for extended periods. Perfect for fall cleanup and keeping the yard tidy! Highly recommend! ππ

Lasted less than a year
I have had this product for 10 months and was pleased with how it worked, however just the other day when using it the plug attached to the blower started to spark and smoke. I immediately unplugged it and figured it was the extension cord that had gone bad only to buy a new one and when I plugged it in and turned on the blower it blew again. I tried the outlet and the outlet works fine, so that leaves the blower having some sort of issue. Looking to buy a cordless one now. Unfortunately past the return window.

Watching out for the missing part, Espically the small stick for install or unstall.
Although it's lack of part for picking the hole, overall working fine.

Worked ok for 2 seasons
I primarily used this tool as a leaf vacuum, since the blower function didn't work as well as the cheap $30 blower I already had. The vacuum and mulch function did get the job done on my 1/3 acre lot with lots of deciduous trees and shrubs. It was an extremely dusty process with this bag, but probably unavoidable while maintaining air flow. The chute clogs quite frequently, particularly if there are any more than one pine cone in the chute at a time. The motor just burned out at 20 months after purchase. I got about 7 several hour sessions in. It mulches pretty well and makes a big difference in reducing debris volume and allows me to compost on site without having to bag tons of leaves up each fall. It was a bit pricey for less than 2 years lifespan, though. I think I'm going to try to find a more reliable brand for it's replacemet. Sad that Black & Decker doesn't make as reliable tools as they used to.
