Garmin Colorado Series Marine Mount

I use my eTrex 30 on my pontoon boat here in Florida when roaming around lake Tsala Apoka and I got tired of not having a specific place or spot for this GPS unit. I knew that I needed a holder of some type but didn't want a beanbag or windshield mount or similar bracket. While doing some research on Amazon I noticed this one but it didn't specifically mention the newest eTrex 30 and seemed to be for the Colorado series. After reviewing the Garmin website, they clearly noted that this unit would fit many of their handhelds including most eTrex units. I totally agree with Garmin as this mount is great. It's strong and the GPS is locked in place until you push a lever to unlock it. There are multiple adjustments for angle and rotation and they can be locked in place by tightening the hand screws. I mounted it to the fiberglass dash using 3M 20 lb doublesided tape and believe me, it will be on that dash forever. I like this holder. It's small, strong, adjustable and the usb port is still available once mounted. All in all, I'm pleased and figure that I got good value. It's less than $20 and works better than I expected!

I bought this mount for the Garmin GPSMAP 79sc and it works perfectly. Also, I bought the 79sc to replace an older model Garmin, the 76CX, and the older mount was not compatible with the new GPS. However, what is compatible is the dash or bulkhead mount portion which I had screwed onto my sailboat previously. So, the new parts that grab and hold the GPS attach perfectly to the old parts I have mounted on my boat.

I bought this for my Oregon 400t. I've used it on several fishing trips. The mount is small and compact. The unit connects easily and disconnects easily. It is a super mount. Holds the unit securely. I put the unit on and take it off with absolutely no issues. I'd highly recommend this mount for Garmin GPS units it is intended for. The unit clicks in securely and locks in. To remove the unit from the mount you just have to hold in the lever on the back and slide the unit up to detach. The unit attaches and detaches very easily. You can rotate it and then tighten it down. You can also adjust the pitch angle to your desired viewing angle. Great product for my Oregon 400t when I use it with lake maps in my fishing boat. Combine this mount with LakeMaster Lake Maps and the Garmin Vehicle power cable, which I plug into auxilary power plug in my boat, and they turn my Oregon 400t into a great GPS uinit for my fishing boat.

I thought I’d be out of luck finding a mount to be able to use my old hunting GPS on my boat, but, again: Amazon to the rescue! Fits the Colorado perfectly, and the base looks good on the boat console!

Works great with my Oregon 600. Use it on my Kayak. If you use it in salt water strongly recommend use a small amount of Anti-Seize Lubricant on the threads and it will go the distance. This is my second one. Sadly I forgot to tighten my first one down before a long drive and it fell off.

overall it's a good mount..the versatility of swiveling and angling the GPS is great. I did expect it to come with some mounting hardware or adhesive as implied in the description, and am pretty disappointed in that.

Nice range of motion to get just the right viewing position. It is easy to mount and remove the Colorado GPS which feels very secure when it is in position. I agree with others that a good piece of weather proof heavy duty double faced mounting tape would have been nice. I ended up buying a whole roll of the pricey weather proof, double faced tape just to use a couple of inches of tape. I did not want to screw this into the dash on my brand new boat.

Mounted it externally on our sailboat, clips in and out nicely. I am not sure what kind of life it will have being exposed to UV all the time...we will see.

Achtung!! Es ist kein Saugnapf enthalten!! Rezension von "Detritus" ist falsch zugeordnet und bezieht sich auf ein anderes Produkt. Die Marinehalterung besteht aus einer zweiteiligen Halteplatte, die mit drei Schrauben (nicht enthalten) am Boot oder anderem Fahrzeug fixiert wird. Aufgrund dieser Rezension halte ich das Produkt nämlich gerade in Händen, mal sehen, ob ich es dennoch für meine Zwecke nutzen kann. Die Halterung kann entweder direkt an das Fahrzeug geschraubt werden (man lässt die Grundplatte einfach weg), dann kann man das Navi nur noch vertikal kippen, oder man schraubt die Grundplatte an und steckt dann die Halterung mit Navi dran. So ist die Halterung sowohl dreh-, als auch kippbar und macht meiner Meinung nach mehr Sinn. Der dicke Drehknopf auf dem Bild gehört zu der Grundplatte, auf die der Rest dann eingesteckt, ausgerichtet und festgedreht wird. Ansonsten die übliche, sehr wertige Garmin-Qualität, daher fünf Sterne.
