Review: right size for the job - I was using the pre-filled 12ga flexible metallic conduit. That FMC can appear to be 1/2 in, but a 1/2 inch strap is too loose for that product. These 3/8in straps are the perfect fit and held the FMC firmly in place. Took a #8 screw without an issue, the mounting hole may even be able to take a slightly larger screw , not that it would be necessary. This is a good product and works very well. The gap measure between is .5" and that's a snug 0.5" The strap is plenty sturdy. ( Contract work that requires inspection. I do not know if it's legal to bend them ). The bracket is plenty strong.
