Lid not locking error
The item arrived as described. I bought it to fix a three year old (2020 model) GUD24GSSMWW that had a lid that was not locking. The switch did not fix the issue because the culprit was the main control board. I only found out about that after finding a YouTube video showing that if the GUD24GSSMWW would not go into diagnostic mode, then it needed the main control board. However, I still suggest buying both the lid switch and the main control board so it saves time and known good parts are used to effect the repair, and I don’t know what caused the main board to fail. I wrote this review to help the someone diagnose what seems to be a common issue with the GUD24GSSMWW model.

Worked great for GTUN275EM1WW washer
Part of the original part had broken off preventing the lid from locking. Replaced with this part in about 5 mins and so far everything back to normal.

Flawless-worked perfect on GE wash/dry standup
Worked flawlessly on my GE washer/dryer stand up model # GUD27ESSMWWI was a bit hesitant to buy because it was half the price of the OEM model. I installed it in less than 10 minutes without having to take off the front and top panels. First I unplugged unit from wall. I just unscrewed the 2 screws on top, reached in pulled it out and unplugged the power connection and simply replaced it. I then plugged the unit into the power outlet on the wall and had it run through a wash cycle---> Worked perfectly! Thanks Saved me $$$$

It worked!!
It was super easy to swap. My washer was stuck with water and wouldn’t drain. I saw the red lid lock light was not on and that’s the part in the wash cycle it was stuck at. There was only six screws on my washer to get to the lid lock switch. I swapped it out and it seems to be working fine now. Red lid lock light is on and I hear the water draining and the washer spinning at full speed.

Fixed my GE Model #GUD24ESSMWW
This was a life saver. Our machine wouldn't spin and just kept making a clicking noise. We were able to pinpoint the problem only to find out our local stores do not carry this part. Thank you Amazon! Part is a perfect fit & arrived just in time to wash clothes.

Very easy repair
This latch replaced a broken on my daughter's GE laundry center. It was a very easy repair - I found a how-to video on YouTube that guided me through the process. All that's required are a paint scraper, a Phillips head screwdriver and a small wrench. Took 15 minutes from start to finish.

Broken within months!!!!
I ordered and installed this part in august and it broke again today in October. barely lasted me 2 months. It is past the refund point as well in amazon. Can the seller reach back out to me to see if i can obtain a replacement? It should still be under the sellers warranty from the manufacturer.
