IZZO Tru Vu Trainer Hitting Net - Course Style

Very cool idea for a hitting net. Works great.
What a great idea to put a picture of a golf hole on the hitting mat. It makes hitting more enjoyable. The net itself works great at stopping the ball dead and dropping it to the floor gently, even with a full drive and real ball. I use it indoors, so I can't give information about how it works outdoors. One time I hit a lob wedge and it went over the net from 5 feet back. But, that's not the net's fault. It is quite big and will stop most shots, even wayward ones, with the exception of the dreaded shank.

More fun than hitting a net, but I am not sure how durable it is...
This product is made for a larger room or can be used outdoors. It takes up more space than I anticipated (the room I was going to use it in is 12.5 x 12.5) and it really does not allow for full (real golf ball) shots in that amount of space. The issue I already encountered is a small hole was opened when I hit a real golf ball (and not even a driver shot) which went through the fabric, so I put a piece of shipping tape behind the opening. Now I also attached a tarp behind the fabric to give it more resistance. I know that I could get it replaced (since it is under warranty) but for now I will see if any additional tears or rips occur before reaching out to the company. BTW, I am in my mid-60's and I have a swing speed which is at max 100 mph, so I was disappointed that a mid-iron shot went through the fabric. I really like the visual it gives me and I am able to attach a target in the center using bungee cords for chipping and pitching practice.

Meaningful practice
This trainer is awesome! The visual allows me the view of hitting into an actual green. It accepts balls beautiful and drops them straight down. Also the aesthetics are nice for my basement.

Not Durable
I kid you not, the first ball I hit into the net, the top loop that went to one of the upright pole broke. One ball! At least the ball was dropped right at the bottom of the net. Typical made in CHINA LOW QUALITY PRODUCT.

Awesome and this golf training net will take a beating and is quite durable!
The Izzo Tru Vu Trainer Hitting Net is possibly one of the coolest golf nets that I have tested. For one, a lot of nets that are available, they can't take a beating. Hit the golf ball hard and the protective net is just not strong enough. The Izzo Tru Vu Trainer Hitting Net is probably one of the strongest trainer hitting net that I've used, granted it's also not like other golf nets I've used.First, let's talk about the net itself. The net comes in a nylon carrying bag, with three small width connection poles for left and right (so a total of six pieces), you then have thick connecting steel pipes in the bottom (a total of three pieces) and the two primary legs that connect on the left and right (so total of four pieces). Then you get four metal U spikes to hold the legs down.Setup is quite easy, but there is something I do recommend first and that is that once you connect the three steel pipes in the bottom, run that through the bottom net prior to connecting the legs.Otherwise, everything else is easy, the three small width connection poles for both left and right side are easy to put on and easy to remove. Go ahead and start driving or hitting the golf balls. Just one word of advice, stay closer to the net, if you tend to hook or slice. I was being a bit cocky with one hit, staying several feet back and shanked it. Glad I wasn't going full swing or otherwise that would have been a disaster. But stay about 2-3 feet away from the net, don't go too far back. But I gave this strong net all I had and tried to see if a ball would go through, but the quality of the net is very strong. It's not webby, net material either. It's seems like it's a thick nylon tarp (not sure what exactly the material is but it's strong) and there are no openings in the net area. But I really do like this trainer hitting net. It's easy to put up, take down and most of all, it's strong and can really take a beating no matter how strong your swing is and how hard the ball hits it. And last, especially having to stay home and golf courses are closed for the time being, it helps to have this net in the back yard to practice.Overall, I recommend it!

Okay temporary solution to the range, but needs further design work to be great
Building it was easy, though I got confused in the final step and had to backtrack a little. I set it up in my grass on a light breezy day and had to use the included metal stakes to keep it grounded. Fair enough, but the net (sail) has so much give that it would occasionally lean into my shot and get whacked. But where this really had me scratching my head was the way it kept deflecting balls straight up when I would hit the sweet spot. I only used practice golf balls, but I am confident a real one could have easily landed on my head and injured me.I think if this was built just a little bit sturdier and with a top deflector, it could truly replace the range. For now, while we are in quarantine, it will have to do. 3 stars because it does technically work, but I would honestly spend a little more money and get a sturdier one until they fix these design flaws.

We’re a golfing family
This is perfect for the backyard for golfers or budding ones. It’s more fun for all ages - Dad is a super golfer and the twins at age 9 want to be good enough to play with him. Since this arrived, there’s been a lot of practicing going on. This is a good quality target and everybody ends up getting in on the action. This was a great choice for the whole family.
