One square continuous piece of silicone tubing encases the LEDs so it is 100% waterproof. The remote works great, I have the control box encased in a waterproof steel box with other components and the remote will pick up 50 feet away on the other side of the pool from inside the house. So far, two weeks it has been working great, if you are running this in a circle, the beginning of the line in the end of the line you will see dimmer lights at the end because of voltage drop, you will not notice it if it is in a straight line if the end is not near the beginning..... if that makes sense. EDIT UPDATE: IT IS NOW SEPT 2024...LIGHTS STILL WORK GREAT...ABOUT 5% OF THE LEDS ARE BURNT OUT (NOT MANY) AND SOME ARE A DIFFERENT COLOR THAN THE OTHERS (MAYBE 10%)... BUT ALL IN ALL THESE ARE HOLDING UP GREAT! Review: Not for boat docks - Do not put these around the edge of a boat dock or boat. As soon as the side of the boat hit the dock the light strip split and they don’t work anymore. The colors and brightness were so beautiful. Debating if I’ll get another set.

Nice LED waterproof lights

Not for boat docks
Do not put these around the edge of a boat dock or boat. As soon as the side of the boat hit the dock the light strip split and they don’t work anymore. The colors and brightness were so beautiful. Debating if I’ll get another set.

Stick to name brand
The lights came in an unmarked box. No instructions for the lights. The is no brand name of the product. The lights seem to work now. There was instructions for the remote.

Great Customer Service!
I installed these lights in tracks for an outdoor project, and they are great! Nice and bright, but can be dimmed down to a nice low intensity for relaxing by the pool at night. The real reason for the 5-star rating, though, is for customer service. The original controller failed after one day, but when I contacted the seller, I got a reply within hours. Not only did Dan replace the controller and remote, he also added a gift of another set of lights; a Bluetooth Music RGB strip light kit. I would have been happy just to get the replacement I needed, but the bonus gift and nice reply I received from Dan at Homeport was a reminder that great customer service still exists! Thank you for making what could have been a frustrating experience so much better!

Homeport supplier of Waterproof LED Lighting
Dan from Homeport was very professionsl from the very start and worked with me designing the product that I needed. I got the product, installed it and worked fine. Then the controller malfunctioned and it was replaced by Homeport (Dan) with a much improved controller. The new controller is working BEYOND my expectations. I highly recomend Mr. Dan/Homeport for waterproof LED lighting. You do an amazing job at providing & supporting a product of the highest quality. Richard

Works Great - need replacement power cord
Worked great until we tried to put the power cord into a clear plastic tube after installing the lights on my above ground pool. I need a replacement of the power cord piece and to know if there is a compatible Bluetooth adapter?

Had a little problem with two of the lights but they sent replacements, everything works great now

It's just how it's advertised.
Perfect length, easy installation, did not use adhesive backing for a couple of reasons that have nothing to do with the product. Light intensity varies with color selected and installation. We have it underneath the railings of our deck shining downward, and at foot level for stairs which is plenty of light. We use the slow color change selection and love it.
