THIS is what you use on your car to eliminate squeaks and rattles!
Used on a Tesla 3 to eliminate the seat belt height assembly rattle. Results were PERFECT! I can see car dealers using this for customer complaints for known rattle/squeaks. We did, and WOW! Just-right thickness, easy to install/remove, and works way better than anything else you want to use

Worked perfectly!
We replaced our entertainment center for one that is completely open (thus, no hidden storage). Since nice-looking bins cost about the same as vintage-look suitcases & chests, I went with the latter for a fun look (it was actually a better fit for our DVDs too). Unfortunately a lot of these have unfinished wood or metal on the bottom and I didn't want to scratch up the wood on the new furniture. I used this felt tape on the bottom outside edges of all the boxes - problem solved. It was a fast, easy & reasonably priced fix that protects the furniture without adding unsightly bulk. Looking at the shelves you can't even tell there's anything under the boxes. It's thin enough that you could put a strip or two on smaller items as well if you had a concern about them scratching a certain surface (for example, something with a stone base). This worked perfectly well & looks so great that I didn't even try the sheet of sticky-back felt I bought at the same time, I guess that can wait for a future project.

A kinder, softer, but still multi-use duct tape
These felt strips are great. They have plenty stickiness for my needs, perfect width to slap on some bookshelves, and plenty of cushion as well. They provide a subtle way to protect your floors, or to dampen sound on cabinets. Really, they have come in handy for numerous projects and a strip is great to have around for future projects that crop up.Get some!

Can be used to repair aging felt on car weather striping.
The black felt material on my vehicle that covers the interior car window weather stripping which allows the window glass to roll up and down smoothly without catching on exposed rubber was beginning to crack and peel off due to age.The rubber underneath was still in good condition and rather than buying a whole new weather stripping and going through the cost of removing the old and installing the new (which could be expensive depending on the vehicle)I measured and cut the amount needed to cover the exposed rubber, the felt thickness caused the window to peel the felt strip off, but this can be solved by using a shaving razor (think Gillette razor) to shave down a half a millimeter of felt for an ultra thin felt patch. After shaving down some of the material, the felt sticks without the window catching on it while rolling the window up.Looks good and so far I am pleased with the result. My only criticism is that the seller doesn’t offer a felt tape thinner than 1mm. Something paper thin would be outstanding.

Replaced felt tape in gun cabinet
I did some restoration to my father’s old gun cabinet. Stuck nice and was perfect width and color.

Not sticky
Don't buy. I bought this a couple of years ago and ended up not using at the time because I used some other sticky felt instead. Then when I went to use it I discovered that there is no working sticky layer. I peeled apart multiple layers of paper and felt trying to find it and it's just not there.

Works well enough
I've used this to silence several rattles in my car coming from the paneling. I've removed paneling, applied the tape at contact points, and reassembled the paneling. The only real problem with this tape is the difficulty involved in separating the cover for the adhesive side from the adhesive. It's really, really difficult. A lot of times by the time I finally get the cover separated from the adhesive, I've ended up tearing off and warping a fair amount of the felt at that end. Maybe a thicker cover over the adhesive would make it easier to get a hold of to separate. Not sure. As it is it's really tough and where most of my time ends up going during the process of prepping the location for use, measuring and cutting the tape to size, and applying the tape.In areas where there is a sharp corner, the tape eventually pops loose when it's warm and will not readhere. But since the contact points are already closed by the reattached paneling, it stays in place and continues to silence the rattles. Just doesn't look terribly nice. What I would like, though, is felt tape just like this at half the thinness. This is just a tiny bit too thick for some of the places I want to use it.
