Review: A Highly-Recommended Investment in Your Family's Health - High quality and produces great-tasting water. Leaving behind substances I didn't expect! We have a whole-home water filtration system which removes minerals from our water source. I know that some stuff (like chlorine and fluoride) will get past it, so I bought the distiller in hopes of eliminating those from our drinking water. I have been pleasantly surprised to see there is a residue and odor left behind with each batch I distill. I have yet to learn what the substance is, but for now I'm satisfied it's being removed from our drinking water. There's a noticeable difference in the taste and clarity of the water between the distilled and tap. This was unexpected, too, as I thought I might have to convince myself that the water is better. But the first time I poured the distilled water I could see how much clearer it was and a frequent house guest volunteered the same commentary. The water also tastes really good, so my family is naturally drinking more of it. The combination of the distiller and carafe is bulky for the kitchen in our 1970s split-level home, so we moved it to a sun porch and close the door while it's running. While the distiller isn't obnoxiously loud while running it's similar to hearing a box fan on low power. This has the potential to get on your nerves, so I recommend following the manufacturer's advice and either running this during sleep or running it in a closed-off room. One bit of warning is this is an investment of time over taking water from the tap. You need to fill up the carafe, wait several hours for a gallon of water, and wipe down the distiller or clean it after use. It's taken us a few weeks to get into the flow of a manageable schedule. I was cleaning the distiller with soap and water or distilled white vinegar after each use, but that was starting to get to the point where the work to maintain the unit was outweighing the value of the water. So what I've landed on for now is I'll wipe down the inside of the unit after each use (takes 10 seconds) and I'll running a cleaning cycle and install a fresh activated carbon pod once per month. I think that should be manageable. We're also still sorting out water storage. It's not recommended (by me) that you spend time and electricity distilling water and then put it in a plastic container, where chemicals can leach into it. Even BPA-free units can have other chemicals which can make it into the water. We tried a 3-gallon stainless steel fusti with a tap in our fridge but the fusti took up a lot of space and leaked and finding any water dispenser which doesn't have leaking issues is actually a challenge. What we're doing for now is buying a second glass carafe. We'll have one in the fridge, for our drinking water needs, and another at the distiller, ready to collect distilled water. While the unit is not inexpensive and takes a little getting used to, to work into your life, I recommend keeping in mind this is an investment in your health. We're getting great value out of it in terms of removing junk from the water and encouraging our family members to drink more great-tasting water instead of packaged drinks. My parens regularly buy gallons of distilled water. We worked out that if they bought a distiller it would pay for itself - in the money saved over buying those gallons - in about six months. And the water from the distiller is not stored in plastic jugs, which can leach chemicals. I highly recommend this product. It's a great investment.
Review: Good choice for distilling water at home - Update to my earlier review. Sill 5 stars, but here is what we've learned since we bought the unit. If I start a batch first thing in the morning, I can start another in the early afternoon, and a third before bed. Obviously a batch every evening is convenient however, things happen or we get distracted. No worries, with a little time management I can make 3 gallons in one day, with no plastic jugs to buy and recycle. Super happy! Feb 2025. The H2o Labs distiller has been in use at our home for about a month now, and we like it a lot. We go thru a moderate amount of distilled water due to a medical condition and cringed every time we went shopping to bring home another 10 plastic jugs. So far, using this distiller is quite easy to use and clean. It does make a whirring sound as the cooling fan runs so we located it in a room we use less often. It routinely outputs slightly over a gallon per batch. We've learned that with a phone reminder every morning around 9am, we can generate 2 batches in 12-13 hours if we are paying attention. This means as we accumulate extra distilled water, soon we will only need 1 batch per day and have plenty on the shelf. Recommend keeping clean used gallon jugs with screw on tops for good seal and spill protection. Overall, we like this H2o distiller a lot, and it was very affordable compared to other options.

## Features

- H2o Labs Best-in-Class Models: Our most popular countertop Model 300SS water distiller for home & office has a stainless-steel exterior, evaporator & condensing coil, and it has a top-quality 1 gallon borosilicate glass carafe with ergonomic “Easy Lift, Easy Grip” handle.
- Optimal Heating Element: Larger heating elements produce a rolling boil that can splash into the condensing coil resulting in less effective VOC removal. Our 565 watt is the optimal size, producing a gentle steam that makes for more effective output.
- Safe Operation: The steam chamber is stainless-steel & all plastics are food-safe and BPA-free. It has a porcelain nozzle insert so pure water never touches plastic. Auto shut-off and fail-safe fuse offer additional protection.
- Everything You Need: Along with your water distiller and glass carafe, you'll receive a 6-pack of exclusive H2o Labs carbon pods, a large jar of cleaning crystals for hard water scale, and an informative, easy-to-understand instruction manual.
- Easy To Maintain: The wide opening of the evaporation chamber allows easy access for cleaning and only takes minutes. If you have very hard water, it comes with an ample supply of cleaner to help remove stubborn water scale easily.
- Everything you need to begin making the PUREST water ever is included! Along with your water distiller you’ll receive the "Easy Grip" glass carafe, a large jar of non-toxic Cleaning Crystals in case it's needed for hard water scale, and a year's supply of H2o Labs Exclusive Activated Carbon Pods. You also receive the most complete, useful and easy-to-understand instruction manual in the industry.
- No complicated digital programming or setup required. Press a single button to start - automatically turns off after each cycle has completed!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic machine!
*by B***O on August 1, 2019*

This superseded its' description in leaps and bounds. Great little machine well worth investing into. Very happy with the flavor of our water now. It's so clean and delicious having all the silt and excess minerals removed. We have well water and it's amazing how much 'junk' is in it. It also explains why the husband has had so many kidney stones and bladder issues. So glad we bought this! Update! We've had this wonderful machine since June 12th and have used it religiously every day. We are 64 years old, so not Popeye's by any means, but our energy level is amazing now. The husband and I have been going non-stop on outside projects, and we are lifting 350 pound awnings for a mare's motel all by ourselves!!! I kid you not. He was riddled with RA a year ago, and now it's arrested and he feels like he's 20 again. I have degenerative disk disease, and am a short 5' 5", yet I'm climbing horse corrals and lifting these monster 8' by 24' long enormous trussed horse awnings like I'm superwoman. This water is freaking unbelievable!!! We sleep like babies now--and in 44 years of marriage we've seldom slept that well. My husband had two huge kidney stones diagnosed before we started the distilled water--they are now gone!!! The gunk we see on the bottom of the machine tells us how much crap is in well water, and our well is 750' down. We do take supplements as we are not getting the minerals, but now we are thinking there were too many minerals and too much sand and other nasty unknowns that was making the water unhealthy. Mind you, we dove into this 'experiment' with open minds but not expecting much. We are still pinching each other in disbelief that we erected four of those enormous awnings completely by ourselves and zero pain the next day. ZERO! We drink it constantly as we crave it. For tasteless water, it is so very gratifying. I like tea with lemon, or just the water on ice with lemon and it is so darn good. Prior to this you couldn't get me to touch water for nothing. I was a diet coke gal, twice daily. Anything but water. Now all I want is this water. Weight loss, oh yeah! About 5 lbs in two months. Toxins literally pour out of us every day when we shower. Unbelievable! I know there's not a lot of information about the benefits of distilled water which is why we didn't expect much, but now that we have drank it religiously for over two months we feel absolutely wonderful. Another perk I've noticed is no morning brain fog when I wake up. But here's the real proof. Both of us had pretty bad blood pressure checkups prior to doing this, so we decided it would be fun to keep a written list of daily blood pressure tests for the both of us. He was always in the 150s or higher, and I have a problem with my temper so I would skyrocket into the 170s. Neither of us are heavy by any means either. Just stress from daily issues. Anyway, those readings have both plummeted to a lovely normal reading for the past two weeks for the both of us. If that's not proof of improvement, I don't know what is. So those nay-sayers that think distilled is horrible--what do you think they use for wine, beer, etc.? Duh! It's all distilled.
