Rare brilliance
If I could rate this album any more than 5 stars, I would. Each song on Vessel connected with me instantly. The first song I ever heard by the group was "Migraine", when I was driving down the road in the car listening to a local radio station. I thought, "This is genius! I'll have to remember the name and look them up when I get home." So I did. I did my research on Twenty One Pilots and discovered that they'd released 3 albums; Twenty One Pilots, Regional at Best, and Vessel. I tried to listen to their self-titled record and couldn't get into it as much. Then, I moved on to Regional at Best and began to think they might be on to something. From there, I proceeded to Vessel, their third studio album and a compilation of songs from Regional and new songs. I was in 100% shock at how amazing it truly is. After hearing the Fueled by Ramen-released album, I had to find live dates and see them ASAP. And sure enough, right then, I discovered that the radio station where I heard them for the first time was holding a FREE event which they were co-headlining with Coheed and Cambria, another amazing band. And how could I NOT go to THAT? Needless to say, I attended the event. But something happened. I was no longer inspired just by LISTENING to Vessel. THEIR LIVE SHOW INSPIRED ME MORE! Musical geniuses Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun brought their first major-label effort to a crowd of nearly 6,000 ecstatic fans. And by the time they left, they were in total denial that they could have seen something so incredible in their lives. Not to mention, I was in the front row, and I caught (and still have) one of the streamers they fired into the crowd, so that made me feel like a piece of them is with me, which is strange, but cool. The bottom line is, if you're skeptical about buying Vessel..... stop thinking and do it.

Utterly Astounding album!
VesselThe packaging was great and the CD was completely undamaged! Also, I don't know about other versions, but my CD came with 4 bonus tracks off of twenty one pilots' first album (which isn't sold anymore!) Regional At Best. Those tracks are Lovely, Kitchen Sink, Forest, and Glowing Eyes.Aside from the purchase:This album is life-changing.Tyler and Josh have seriously gotten right what music is supposed to be.If you're looking for something that is very outside of the typical "over-played on the radio, all about women and alcohol and suggestive material, same catchy beat and pointless lyrics" then this is an album that is absolutely worth your money. The lyrics have so much meaning and the music is unique and captivating. It's not really anything that can be described very well with words, but once you hear their music you'll understand. If you like pop, rock, electronic, dub-step, alternative, even some rap, (really just slam poetry, Tyler's an accidental rapper) you will like Vessel. As they once said in an interview, "Our music is like a smoothie... it tastes like everything that music tastes like, except for whatever a country smoothie tastes and sounds like. Yeah, its not country. *laughs* "(also, in case you're wondering about the old men on the album cover: its the two (and only) band member's grandfathers on their dad's side. The man on the right is Tyler's grandfather and the man on the left is Josh's.)Very happy with this purchase, it was well worth it!Power to the Local Dreamer|-/

My partner had left his copy of this in Ohio, I ordered this for him since I only had digital and we both like collecting anyway, worked perfectly, arrived safely in perfect condition. Thank you.

I can't handle how amazing these guys are!
I saw twenty | one | pilots when they were one of the opening acts for a Neon Trees concert I went to last year. They were like nothing I'd ever seen. Honestly, I didn't really know what to think of them at first but afterwards my friend and I got pictures with them and they are such funny/down-to-earth guys. If you ever get a chance to see them live, DON'T MISS IT!I had forgotten about them but then decided to look them up randomly and listened to their album stream on YouTube. I INSTANTLY fell in love with "Guns for Hands" and couldn't get it out of my head. I'm the kind of girl who likes having a physical CD to play in my car, so I ordered the audio CD. It came in the mail and I listened to it right away. All the songs are SO amazing and SO unique. "Ode to Sleep" is almost like 3 songs in 1! And Tyler's vocal prowess (specifically his rapping) is incomparable. I didn't think I'd be a fan of rap, but t|o|p actually has CONTENT in their songs and I can't get enough! I love rolling the windows down and just blasting this CD!I agree with the other reviewer about anyone who's hesitating about this purchase. Do yourself a huge favor and buy it. You won't be disappointed. I have a ton of CDs and I can honestly say, if I absolutely had to make a list, this would be in the top 5 for SURE! :)

Good Solid Album
I am a fairly new fan of 21 Pilots but I liked their other music enough to purchase a second album from them. As far as music goes, I think the songs on this album are pretty upbeat and make you want to dance. I can definitely hear the influence of other bands such as Linkin Park and Big Data (although not sure if this is intentional or not).21 Pilots' lyrics definitely stand out from the norm and I respect that they are trying to be different than more mainstream artists. I don't feel I necessarily relate to all of the lyrics which leaves me questioning some of the songs.Overall, I think this album is very good but can not give it quite 5 stars because some of the songs sound a bit alike.
