Catalyst Stroke Swim Paddles - Competitive Swimming Technique Equipment

My kiddo's coach recommended upgrading to these TYR paddles, and they have been awesome. The natural shape fits their hands perfectly, and the clear design really helps them focus on their hand entry. This design is supposed to help them build shoulder strength and fix their technique during practice. The hand straps were a bit hard to get into place, but that is also good because they don't slip out during practice. Highly recommend if your kid is ready to step up their training gear!

Wasn’t sure how to use the straps but just tried something and it was fine. Stroke performance was great!

Fits well and good quality. Use three times per week and hold up very well. Purchased these as replacements and like them better.

A great workout

I've recently gotten back into swimming and decided I need my own equipment. I saw a couple good reviews of these TYR Catalyst paddles (from Olympic athletes, among others) so I decided to give them a try. I am a big guy (6'2" and 210 lbs) and I wouldn't go any bigger than this for myself but maybe if you are looking for to do shorter power sets the really big paddles would probably be good for that. At first the Medium size felt too big but now that I've gotten stronger over a few months I have built up to doing 1000 yards pull set and I'm just tired at the end. If you are a smaller person or want to do speed sets you probably want the smaller sizes. I might buy another smaller set at some point for speed work but the Medium size is working great for me on the endurance sets right now.
