The Protein Synthesis Desk Kit allows students to explore translation. A smaller version of our Protein Synthesis Board Kit, each kit contains two 7 1/2” by 12” solid magnetic sheets printed with colorful images for students to cut out and assemble on a markerboard or on a tabletop. Images shown include tRNA’s, amino acids, an mRNA strip, two ribosome pieces, and codon and anticodon labels. The worksheet (included) guides students through exploring the translation process. The kit is packaged in a heavy duty vinyl envelope suitable for storing the pieces between uses. The pieces may be written on with dry-erase markers and are fully erasable. Also included: a genetic code chart and an answer key.
