Pruneti Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Frantoio” – 16.9 oz – MONOCULTIVAR Olive Oil from Tuscany, Italy

There is no doubt this is finely crafted olive oil but it’s somewhat different than what is typically sold in American supermarkets. Instead of a strong taste and heavy volume the Pruneti is light and almost taste free. If you don’t like dipping bread into olive oil this may be a good alternative for social occasions. Personally, I’m keeping it for dipping and cooking but I admit to being used to olive oils that taste more of the olive. Comes finely packaged and wrapped.

This is absolutely delicious. I will never buy regular olive oil from the store again. I could never understand why people dip bread in olive oil because I never liked the taste. This olive oil changed my mind. I guess I have never really had high end olive oil. It really has a unique taste. It reminds me faintly of pepper, artichoke, and olives.I served this with some bread before dinner for my father in law who is from Italy. He was blown away and said it brought him back to his childhood.This is a great gift for anyone who likes to cook or just for yourself to enjoy.

Normally when I use olive oil, it's for the health benefits, not so much the flavor. I enjoy cooking with it in place of traditional vegetable oils. This one though, actually tastes great! I can see myself using this in salads and things. Next on my list is a pan of nicely baked fish, with a splash of this oil of course, along with some fresh cut tomatoes, garlic, a bit of pepper and salt. I can almost taste it now... :D This is honestly one of the best olive oils I've ever tasted. Certainly not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for sometimes... lol

This is a very nice olive oil. I'm used to a heavier fruity flavor, so I was surprised at the light, almost indeterminable flavor of this one, but it improves the taste of various dishes where you don't want a heavy or fruity flavor. Very nicely done.
