I was very much interested in this ukulele, being made of bamboo. Once I've noticed that Aklot is now selling a concert version of it, I've ordered one. I think the bundle is an excellent value for money: it comes with a high quality gig bag, plastic picks, strap, tuner and of course the ukulele.The ukulele looks very blond, but I've expected that. I really liked the wood grain on it, and the whole thing was silky smooth to the touch, so no problem with that.After tuning it, I've started to play it, and this is where I had an issue. Of course it went out of tune a lot, especially the E string, but that is expected, and it wasn't the issue. Strings need time to settle and stretch. My problem was how lifeless this ukulele sounds. I saw reviews about it being on a quiet side, and again, nothing wrong with that. But the whole thing had absolutely no life to it. It sounded dead.The other issue is that the nut is incredibly narrow, I didn't measure it, but my fingers felt crammed and very uncomfortable. I have two other ukes, a concert with standard 35mm nut, and a soprano with a wider 37mm not, and I think this was about 33mm or similar. Very narrow, and it didn't feel OK.So as much as I was sold on the looks and the idea of having a sustainable ukulele (which I intended to have as a travel uke), I'm returning it, because the sound and the nut is just not doing it for me. :-(

This is my second but much cheaper ukulele. I bought it because of the special bamboo material. The attachments are good, the ukuelel itself looks well made, no split on mine. I like the sound too. I didn't give 5 star becauae I need to tune it everytime when I play or the tune will not stay as accurate as my other ukulele. But overall, this is a great value uku.
