Very responsive but try to keep it clutter free.
I do own a more expensive tablet which is family shared but I will review this one on its own merits and take into consideration its price and quality. I wanted one while sitting in the living room so I can keep up to date with social media and of course, keeping a close eye out for bargains or lightning deals on my Amazon app etc. So, does this promising piece of kit satisfy me for the price?Firstly, it arrived in a well presented, colourful and glossy box, shrink wrapped with a clear plastic film which was easy to remove. A pet hate of mine is when you need to spend ten minutes trying to open a package but I'm glad to say I had the wrap removed and the box opened in a few seconds. Inside the box was the tablet and a quality USB charging cable. It would have been nice to have a USB charger plug to accompany the cable but it's no big issue as I always have many around the house. Before I turned the tablet on, I fully charged the inbuilt, non-removable 400mAh battery. If you're near a charging port, you can leave the cable in the tablet and that would mean the battery will never drain. I got around two full days before I needed to charge the battery again which is good in my opinion. From a standing start, the tablet took less than a minute to fully load to allow me to set it up. I was impressed by that. It found my WiFi quickly and hooked up to my 2.4GHz band without any issue. No dropping of signal. It runs using Android 9.0 operating system which is up to date. The screen itself is 8 inches and is very responsive to the touch. Zooming in and out is easy.Where this tablet can differ from other, more expensive brand leaders is the RAM size. This tablet has 2GB which is good enough for me and probably most folk but heavy gamers may need more. 32GB of ROM is included but can be expanded up to a further 128GB by means of an SD card. For what I use this tablet for, there is no need for expansion. I also installed a little app to keep this tablet clutter free, always a good idea and that is my advice using this tablet. There is no bloatware on this tablet which is a blessing for me. I have spent lots of time getting rid of pre-installed apps on previous tablets and phones etc. which are never used.Using the Youtube app, I have watched some videos and must say, the quality was better than what I had expected. High definition quality with crisp colours and sound. The first time, I played a video, I was so impressed, I had to show my wife and she agreed. This tablet is capable of other stuff like bluetooth and GPS. It also has front and rear facing cameras but I have never had a need to use any of these functions yet so I'll leave another buyer to review those as I don't feel qualified enough to speak of them.Overall, this tablet has far exceeded my expectations for this price. It is great value for money and does exactly what I wanted it to do and does it well. Social media apps etc. are a doodle; so easy to use on this tablet.I would recommended it to anyone. If you found this review helpful, please confirm by pressing the button below. Thank you.

Great for the younger kids in care
So we needed another tablet that was just a basic one for a couple of children we now have in care, this one has a nice clear screen and can easily cope with video calls and youtube kids aswell as a few educational apps. it seems to run nice and smoothly, and doesn't include much bloatware at all, i wouldn't load up too much stuff as this would slow it down, but for my needs it was perfect. If you enjoyed my comments, please click helpful below

Excellent little tablet at fraction of the price of big hitters. Pleasantly surprised
Needed a tablet that I could pop in my handbag and not worry about too much if I lost it / got damaged. However I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this and I'm using it much more than my ipad. The screen is excellent and it is really fast and responsive.A cinch to set up and use, especially if you are used to android phones, it basically runs on the same system.Impressed at crispness of picture and how quickly webpages and applications loaded. I also liked that it didn't come with all the clutter that the big names tend to have (apps you can't delete, links to their shopping stores you can't get rid of and never use).I've included a photo of it next to my ipad for comparison. If you look at screen alone, the difference actually isn't that big. However compact size of this tablet means I pop it in my bag far more easily, use it on the go etc.Multitasks well and let me flit between multiple webpages and apps without it having a nervous breakdownI'm really pleased with this, it's faster and on par screen quality with some of the big name android tablets I tried out as well, and costs half the price. Please leave at thumbs up if you find the photos / review helpful, thank you :-)

Amazing little tablet
This MatrixPad S8 is a great little tablet. Firstly the screen is wonderfully bright and sharp. The resolution of 1280 x 800 it a little lower than tablets costing £300+ but the IPS display creats a very punchy, sharp and vibrant image. The IPS panel is so much nicer than LCD screen and to get such a good screen for the price is amazing. Sound quality is also good and on par with tablet like the Kindle fire, but with headphones on it sounds amazing. The processor and ram also pack a punch but actually the 1200*800 and not full hd screen means the processor can actually do more and games run really well. My son loves playing Goat Simulator on my wife's Kindle Fire HD and this is on par, if not surpasses it for far less than half the price. It should be noted than the Fire HD also has a 1200*800 resolution. So how does this tablet cost less but match and in some areas surpass more expensive tablets? Well the main cost saving area is probably the encasing plastic. It feels lighter and a bit more plastic, I have now got a case and it certainly improves the quality of the device.Overall, I am very impressed with this cheap but powerful tablet. It's great for a variety of uses including live video, games and watching films, and as it is android there is so much more you can do with this device.+ Great screen+ Lots of ram and processing power+ GPS - great for car journeys+ Can handle lots of games.+ Easy to make video calls- build could be more solidI hope you found this review helpful.

Beautiful, responsive tablet
I purchased this tablet to replace my Huawei tablet that had seen better days. I was hesitant as Vankyo is not a brand I'm familiar with, but was swayed by the positive reviews. I can only echo what the other reviews say: this is a beautiful, sleek and elegant tablet. It is fast and responsive to the touch, even with the numerous apps I have downloaded, it doesn't seem to slow down. It is user-friendly and easy to set up. Despite the unfamiliar brand name, it is the best Android tablet I have ever purchased (and I've had quite a few!) It is also well-presented and has a long battery life (so far I'd estimate the battery life is double that of my Huawei). Thanks so much to Vankyo for such a wonderful product!
