Super Slush Cup - Single Cup

I bought the "as seen on tv" slushy cup, slushy magic, at an outlet store on the way to the Twin Cities for 15.00 plus tax. Then I bought two of these "knock offs" for 15.00, no tax, free shipping. Other than the color, THEY ARE IDENTICAL. The only difference is the real cup is stamped with Made In China. The knock of is a Made In China sticker. The knock off straw/spoon is shorter, so it fits inside of the cup with the lid on when you store it. I have three of them so you can make multiple slushies without having to wait 8 hrs for the cubes to re-freeze. My knock off cups don't leak either. If you want to spend more on the real Slushy Magic, go ahead. I just wanted to let those of you on the edge know that you won't be able to tell the difference. In the end you get a little bit of slushy, just enough to keep the kids busy for a while.

I purchased a single pack for my girls for Christmas, because of the reviews I figured if they didn't work I wouldn't be out too to much money. So we open them this morning and wait a few hours. We then put the cubes in the cup and added coolaid and started to shake. I have horrible shoulders, however I made slushies just fine. Then I decided I wanted to make 2 with one set of cubes. I re-froze them and repeated adding and shaking. Then I rinsed the cubes with COLD water and put them back in with OJ this time, my youngest's faavorite drink, and shook it until I had a slushie OJ.So I am not to sure what other people were complaining about but the product does EXACTLY as it is supposed to do. MAKES SLUSHIES!I don't think my 6 yr old could shake it enough but I am her mommy any way and I don't mind shaking!

Three stars because this came fast, the first of many items I had ordered. But the item itself, was a dissapointment. In the add, a kid puts the ice cubes in the freezer, then takes it out, fills it with juice, inserts the cubes and shakes, and then VOILA! A slushy. That was a tall tale. I Put the ice cubes in as the kid did, put them in the cup after filling it with juice (which was a REAL waste of it) and shook it for a long time. After opening the top, to suprise was juice with some cold spots on the top, not a slushy. I do not reccomend this product.

My super slush cup was shipped fairly quickly. After opening the box, I noticed the bag in which the cubes are stored was leaky and wet. I didn't find a leak in cubes so went on and froze the cubes and didn't have a problem. The super slush cup is worth the money, but the little hole on the lid for carbonated drinks leaks out the beverage, so I always shake the cup with a paper towel over the lid. Overall, its a fun product, with a couple negatives. But hey, your kids will be so excited to use it, that I doubt they'll care! :)

The idea of this is cool but it is a LOT of work to get it slushy. It would be fine if my son could shake it himself but he doesn't quite have the stamina at 4 and focus for that matter. To be honest... It would be easier to go buy an icee from the convenient store and it would taste better too.

This product worked very well. But we have learned that the best way to make it an actual slushie is all in how you shake it. You have to hold it kind of tilted in your hand and shake up and down, not side-to-side. You have to Shake it really fast for exactly 2 min or more. This product works better If you keep the ice cubes in the freezer until they are froze solid. Over all It is really easy to use, and works best with juices, not sodas.

Bought this for my six-year-old daughter, since she was enthralled with the "Slushy Magic" commercials on tv. Our unit was leaky, and since you have to vigorously shake it for 2 mins, it makes a HUGE mess. We ended up having to wrap it in paper towels prior to each use. The "vigorousness" with which this unit has to be shaken is physically demanding for an adult, and virtually impossible for a child to sustain for 2 minutes straight. Even after all that work, we still didn't get much of a slushy. Even if it had frozen properly, the size of the cubes relative to the size of the cup means that you aren't getting much more than a couple of spoonfuls of slushy in the cup.

I purchsed this cup for my granddaughter 11yrs.old she called me to say she put the cubes in the freezer & later went to get it & noticed 1 cube had a hold in it. I emailed the buyer to return it but my grand don't have the box, so i'm out of $21+. enough of online shopping for me cause i'm spending more on s/h than i actually pay for the items. I'm gonna miss Amazon.com but some of the sellers aren't willing to go that mile..
