Having said that, I am very satisfied with how it’s turned out. I had a lot of apprehension purchasing it. Although it had decent stars, there seemed to be consistent issues. I can say that I did not experience any issues with assembly, pre drilled holes or anything splitting. You do need to be mindful of working slowly when putting the screws in. Not to overtighten which may have caused the splitting that some reviews mentioned. And do not use an electric drill/screwdriver as it is way to aggressive for the particle board. It was extremely well packaged with corner protectors and styrofoam which provided a lot of protection. I felt like the instructions were pretty clear and it was easy to assemble, just a little time consuming. It took me about 2 hrs, maybe a little less.
