Cann I just lay it on of a concrete floor without using a mortar?

Hello, the LuxHeat floor heating system must be covered with a mortar or self-leveling compound, this provides sufficient heatsink, and promotes even heat distribution throughout the floor.

Any instructions on how to connect multiple Mats to the same thermostat?

Hello, you can connect multiple mats to a single thermostat provided you do not exceed the max load. The max load on a 240 circuit is 3600watts (300sqft of heating at 12w/sqft). We recommend pulling all cold leads to the junction box and connecting direct to thermostat.

Can this be installed under the rubber gym flooring?

Hello, as per installation instructions, the LuxHeat Floor Heating System must be embedded in a self-leveling compound or Thinset. This ensures even heat distribution and sufficient heat-sink. In addition to this, we would not recommend installing floor heating under a floor covering with a high R-Value (insulation properties) as this can trap the heat causing the cable to overheat. I would think the rubber gym mat would act as a good insulator and therefore would not recommend installing a heating system below it.

Can you use the luxheat mat and thinset under schluter ditra?

Hello, yes, the LuxHeat mat system can be installed under ditra membrane. We would recommend reviewing the Ditra Membrane Installation Handbook (page 10) for any limitations or requirements.
