I tried white vinegar and baking soda (joke!). This product worked with the following steps: I mixed the rust cleaner with baking soda (50/50) to thicken it so it would stay on the surfaces. I let sit for 5-10 mins. I scrubbed it off with a rough sponge (almost brillo like but not as scratchy). After rinsing - I used a stainless cleaner/polish. Most of the rust came off and I am quite happy!
