Sienna Plein Air Pastel Insert Large (CT-PP-0912)

Much flimsier than expected. Was hoping it would be sturdy enough that I could have several to swap in/out for different color selections, but this won't hold up long. Even arrived cracked, but not worth the hassle of return. I also use Guerilla Painter trays which are much sturdier, even though small. Was hoping this Sienna option would have been made from similar plastic, but it's not.

This is made from very thin, brittle plastic. It arrived damaged, but I don’t see how it will hold up no matter how carefully it’s treated. It is flimsier than the watercolor palette by this brand. It’s similar to the disposable plastic used to display an item in a clear lidded package (like a dollar store kids beading set) than any plastic item made to be used more than once. I have the matching pochade box by this brand, it’s great and I’m surprised they would sell an accessory of such poor quality.

Maybe if it had been shipped in a box instead of an unpadded mailer? Next problem: can only fit nu-pastels in it because they're slimmer and still be able to close the pochade box. Sienna, really?

Haven't' put it together yet, but it looks promising.
