Professional Product with Excellent Results
Late to the game in reviewing this product, but it is one of the best ones from Meguiar's It is a mild polish, but will remove very noticeable marks from even harder paint surfaces. It excels at removing swirl/hologram polisher marks after compounding or working with other less precise polish products or methods. I routinely finish my polishing with this product and my rotary machine, going directly to wax or sealant and leaving no holograms or polisher marks. It is not a "filler" product that rinses out after a rain or a wash-the clearly polished look is honest and will remain with proper care. Others have mentioned and I will repeat: keep your pad flat on the work surface when using this product and you will get great results. One difference with this product is that it slings barely any dust or bits of material when running it properly. It doesn't go dry. Conversely, this does mean cleaning the pad is different. Have a terry or microfiber towel handy to wipe the pad clear of excess product and old paint material. In general, I find I have to do this once per panel rather than waiting longer. Different than diminishing abrasive products and ones that go dry eventually, running a brush over the pad containing this product does not really help clean it. The only issue I had when first using the product was on softer paints. I spoke with Meguiar's reps and an independent retailer with extensive experience using M205 and they confirmed that this was developed with modern, generally harder paints in mind. With softer paints (I work on quite a few old enamel and lacquer finishes), cutting the work time, speed, and pad pressure makes the product work its best. As was explained to me, the microscopic shape of the abrasives in M205 tends to work very quickly and if you run it too long, that abrasive can go too far and cause marring Also, keep the pad clean! Since the abrasives don't break down, they hold onto old paint material which can build and cause marring as well. There is a bit of a learning curve if you are used to the routine of diminishing abrasive products from Meguiar's and others. I use this product primarily with a rotary machine, though I have used it with my DA machines and in spots by hand as well.

This thing works MAGIC!! Primarily with Oxidation
This polish works great, I only performed a light polish with it & saw a tremendous difference primarily in the oxidation removal, and water spot removal etched into the clear coat. Though one panel of water spots didn’t come out, I was using a pretty soft pad to be fair. Also light scratches that can’t be picked up by the fingernail do come out. Application is easy & straight forward. Only took me a couple hours.

Absolutely Incredible Results!!!
Absolutely incredible results!! I have a 2024 Can Am Spyder and if you look at it wrong, it scratches the surface. I was so bummed when I first noticed how easily it scratched and the finish was just looking horrible. I explored several options, even considered buying third party covers or even having wraps done. I looked up polishing videos and done my research. I bought an orbital polisher off Amazon too. I found Meguiar's polish and had used their other products before so I have a history with their products performance and was pleased with other results. I am more than pleased with the results from this polish and 100% recommend it. *Note* the finish on my Spyder is not a paint but a textured plastic. I did a test area before I went all in, and you should too before making the leap and move to other areas on you vehicles finish, just incase the results vary from my own.

Does exactly what it says!
Meguiars Ultra Finishing Polish was a excellent choice for clearing up swirls marks and light cuts from our boat! With that being said the ideal user for this ultra-finishing polish would be only for swirls marks and light cuts, as the product states! You will need to get the heavy compound to get the deeper scratches. Some of the criteria that I have based my rating off of include correction ability, and final finish. First, the correction ability. This is where the product shines! (pun intended) Our boats previous owner must have wiped down the boat with sandpaper, because the swirl marks were atrocious. Thankfully it was mostly swirls and light scratches, so no heavy compound was necessary on the gelcoat. After just one buffing pass it a test area, I was amazed with what it had done! It had completely removed the swirl marks! I caught the buffing bug, and ended up finishing the whole 25ft boat that day as you will to when you see the results! Secondly, the final finish. It was apparent that this product had worked very well from the start. The finish that was left behind was glossy and clear, exactly what I was looking for in this product. The best feeling was comparing an area that was finished to unfinished on black paint, as its much easier to see imperfections. it really did leave the boat with a "Mirror Finish" as the product states! lastly, if you plan on using a dual action polisher I highly recommend the lake country CCS orange cutting pad. It is a medium cut pad that worked very well with the Mirror glaze polish. unlike many other pads that I have used in the past that have fallen apart, this pad will not. You should not have any problems even after many uses! You will be very satisfied with this product if this is what you choose to use on your vehicle or boat! It did exactly what is said it would do. I will definitely be buying this product again in the future!

Couldn’t be happier
Does what it do, I have been disappointed by this company yet. I didn’t have high hopes for this project, I had a good scratch on my trunk lid, thought I’d try this before more drastic methods. In the end, it’s impossible to tell it was even there in the first place, took care of a few others while at it.…. The size was more than I’ll ever use, it didn’t take any, time, I think I was out there about an hour. We’ll see how long it lasts, but for now it looks beautiful. This cost nothing compared to a new paint job, it was worth trying this first.

M105/205 combo works
The Meguiars M205 works, bottom line. If the paint has only minor swirls and scratches, the M205 alone should get the job done without having to go the more aggressive route. I use either the Rupes 21 or the Porter Cable 7424xp with the M105/205 polishes. I also have the Makita rotary polisher if the task calls for it (my 1st polisher). I use the M105/205 combination for polishing (i.e. correcting) the paint on my vehicles and that combination gets the job done and done right. The M205 goes on and off really easy and produces a nice finish. The M105 can be a bit tough to remove, but just use some detail spray and it's gone. I always follow up with a sealant to protect my work and then apply wax once the sealant cures for another layer of protection. I even use glazes for extra pop. Personally, I believe that applying any type of polishes or waxes by hand is archaic, time consuming and produces inferior results when compared to using a DA polisher. DA polishers are so inexpensive, produce high quality results, save time and are safe for all paint surfaces, so why not use them. If anyone is afraid of using a DA polisher I want you to go to you tube and check out the Junkman2000 series of videos on using the DA polisher for novices (He uses Meguiars M105/205 in the video). Believe me, you can do it. The Junkman even has a video with a 10 year old using the Porter Cable on his beloved Corvette to further prove how safe DA polishers are on car paints. Also, check out some of the detailing forums (autogeek, autopia etc) out there where you can get lots of information on the various products. The product selection can be overwhelming, but basically all you need is Meguiars M105/M205 combination and some white polishing pads and you're good. If your paint is severally jacked up, you'd need a little more aggressive pad, but that's it.

Utile
J'ai approvisionné ce produit sur les conseils d'un professionnel et pour un usage détournée. Polish d'entretien d'une coque d voilier. Le 205 est peu agressif et comme tous les produits meguiars on peut être sur d'un résultat impeccable.
