I inadvertently stepped on my original filter and split the plastic housing. While I was able to glue it back in reasonable shape, it made sense to have an extra on hand because this is a critical component of the vacuum. By the way, I am a HUGE fan of the Tineco A10 Hero. I had a Dyson prior to this. That was a good unit, but this is far more powerful, comes with two batteries-one battery runs the vacuum. The other is your spare, which means you don't have to quit vacuuming after 15-20minutes as was the case with my Dyson. The battery is easily removed from the unit. Prior to the Dyson was a built-in Nutone--highly acclaimed, but lacked this kind of suction and heaven help if something lodges in the vacuum's tubing that runs through your walls. This Tineco unit can serve as a hand held for the car, which my Dyson model could not. And, or course, the built-in Nutone couldn't serve as a handheld either. The Tineco is also easier to empty than Dyson's. Back to the filter. I am glad to have two of these filters--now three. This filter (as was the case with the OEM filter) needs to be cleaned about every 10 minutes and washed every few uses. Such is the price paid for a high suction, cordless, hand carry vacuum. That seems like a small price to pay, from my vantage point, to be able to cut the cord and not have to tug a large bulky vacuum up and down stairs and around furniture. Good news is that you can easily wash this filter with mild dish detergent. But, it DOES take time to dry. Having a back up filter means you can change it out and continue vacuuming.

I needed a backup filter for my vacuum so I could continue to vacuum while my other filter was being washed and dried. Just rinse this filter out in the sink and let dry. I usually let the filter dry for 24 hours. It really catches the dirt and needs to be washed so that’s why I needed a backup filter.

Changing the filters once in a while is important. Worked for me. Will buy it again when I need new ones.

Fits just like the filter that came with the vacuum. Worked like it should.

It's not as sturdy as the original one in the vacuum, but the price is right.

The filters arrived quickly and appear to be the same as the original so I expect them to work fine. I haven't needed to replace the original yet.

My vacuum seems to be really sensitive and so I'll just get a new filter clean it out wash it out and replace it every few weeks. Works great with a clean filter

Vacuum had great cleaning power. I really needed a new filter as we have two dogs that shed a lot and I vacuum almost daily. I washed the original one many times but couldn’t get it really clean.

The pre Filter replacements came within a couple weeks and work well for my handheld vacuum.

They fit good and wash quite easy. I soak up some of the water and let them dry in a warm area so they are ready for reuse.

While the filters look very similar in design to the original manufacturers filters, these ones would not allow the Tineco filter cleaner attachment to work. for some reason, these filters did not rotate inside the filter cleaner attachment.
