Great flexibility through bends but still rigid enough to push.
This has all the advantages of metal coil type fish tape but doesn't rust and is non-conductive. The last few metal coils I have had I got about a year out of them before I could no longer move the tape in and out of the case. No such issues with this product - it continues to feed perfectly. My only complaint is the very high price for what it is. If you need a reliable product of this type and are willing to get juiced on price then this is an excellent choice.

Materials: Thick & Robust Plastic housing & handle. 15m Fiberglass Wire Puller. Spiral Steel Leader. Impressions: Very easy to pull out the steel string. Very robust shell, with optimized design for less friction. Large (18cm) spiral steel leader, that easily goes through crowded areas. Etched markings in 0.3m help get more accurate measurements. This is a great Fish tape tooling as its suitable for both professionals and beginners, it's so simple to use that you just can't get it wrong. What you need to do is position the spiral steel leader into the tubing/hole and simply start unwinding the wire puller in 15 cm increments. Thanks to the robust casing and comfortable carry handle it's easy to operate with it. It's also made of robust plastic shell on the outside, whereas the wire puller itself has a 18cm steel leader that easily goes through crowded areas and the fiber fiberglass body of the wire itself is covered in plastic/silicone material helps maintain a straight shape and can handle pressure easily. I like the fact that there isn't any spring incorporated in the design, as this way it's less tiring on the hands while unwinding the string. As for its price of £147.74, it can be said that its a bit off-putting, however the "Klein Tools" brand is baes in the US, Illinois and has been on the store since 1857. It is well known for its quality products that don't disappoint, and after trying out their this Fish tape, i can confirm that this is a tool that has been built to last!

I ordered this for my partner who is an electrical engineer. He has bought so many fishing tools in the past , all of which have snapped or lost the cables attached . This sounded perfect. The outer shell is sturdy and robust and the fibreglass fish is easy to use. I haven't used this myself , I'm just relaying what my partner has told me about it. He's used it a few times the last few weeks , he said it's the best fish he's ever had and his brother in the same occupation has already asked where he got it after using it on a job. The fibreglass is more versatile and less rigid than previous types used. I think the price on first glance seems expensive , but put into perspective , this costs about £48 more than what my partner has paid in the past and this does the job , fast , effectively and with no breakage . I'm happy to recommend it.

Although expensive for what it is, it works exactly as described. A nice easy mechanism of threading the lead and retracting it once the wire or cable is attached. Nice and flexible to go round corners, and a good length of tape to thread between floors and along walls. So far I have only used this once to fit an extension in the garage through the cavity rather than over the plasterboard, and it made the job easy and looked better.

I’m not a trades person, just a keen DIYer that’s trying to keep the house in a good shape. This tool has so many applications and will save you a lot of time poking your head trying to find a solution for jobs that can be done in a fraction of the time and a lot less effort with this tool. It’s excellent quality and the tip is very strong and will survive tight corners and crowded conduit, or tight brick wall holes with ease. One missing design feature could be a handle to help unwinding longer lengths, other than that small niggle? Perfect design. I know this sounds like abusing a nice tool, but you could also use it as a drain rod for minor blockages, only if you have to, and don’t forget to run it on a clean dry cloth before winding it back in to keep it clean. I prefer this to the ‘Cable rod’ style ones as you can simply run it for as long/short as you need it, and the flexibility means you can run it from tight spaces without having to waste any time manoeuvring yourself round other objects in the way. I am a believer of ‘buy cheap, buy twice’, this one is expensive, but if you’re looking at it, then you’re the only one capable of deciding whether it’s worth the money or not.

While running cat6 cabling around my house I tried everything from taping cables to measuring tapes and long strips of mdf. Then comes this device, it has saved me hours of time and saved me from crawling around the loft trying to reach cables. The device itself is bigger than I was expecting but it’s built really well with a solid handle that can be held from the top or back and it’s made for big hands. The tape has an eye at the end for securing the cable to followed by about 15cm of flexibility wire. The fibreglass tape itself is relatively flexible although won’t go round tight 90 degree bends. It also has the length etched into the tape although it is in feet and starts at 50 and works back so not ideal for the English market but still nice to have. To wind it up you hold the handle and rotate the inside and it coils up easily. Overall I think this is a quality product that can even stand up to professional use, or for use at home it is a premium option but if you do a lot of cable pulling it will save hours of time. Hopefully this has been helpful to you.
