Bought 4 traps. Very easy to use, took only a few minutes to bait (with peanut butter) and set. Within 1 hour of putting out traps we'd caught a chipmunk. Within 24 hours we'd caught 2 chipmunks and 2 mice (plus another mouse the following day). Haven't seen either species outside the house or in the garage since. We'd been inundated with chipmunks and paid $325 for a six-week service, which killed a dozen or so, but when that service ended, we were still seeing a couple of chipmunks around. They had previously dug through our gardens, under the front porch and even under our driveway, plus in and out of the garage when it was open, so we were desperate not to find ourselves with a new batch of rodents reproducing and replacing the ones we'd paid so much to get rid of. Yes, they're cute and fun to watch ... but so destructive and ubiquitous! Now I'm wishing we'd bought these traps before spending so much on the service. ALSO: The one thing I was squeamish about was having to empty the traps after catching something, but it's so simple to release the carcass into a bag or box and then drop it out back in the woods, or you could just carry the trap to wherever you want to dispose of the deceased. So simple also to reset the trap, using the same bait as drew the former victim. I'm not against live traps but we were fed up and went this route and were very satisfied. Also appreciated that the traps aren't expensive.

My dog was digging at the dishwasher, so I checked and found droppings. I have never dealt with this before, so needless to say, I was nervous about the whole ordeal. I ordered these traps expecting to catch mice and be done with it. Unfortunately for the rodents and my mental health, I can say these things WORK. I had it set with peanut butter and within an hour, there was a GIANT rat caught. Now, I know “giant” sounds hyperbolic, but this thing was MASSIVE - definitely too big for the traps - but still managed to be restrained. While I was shocked, disgusted, and trying to determine how to handle this, it was discovered the rat was not dead. I screamed, the dog barked, the rat squealed - it was traumatizing to all of us to say the least. My dog had been pawing around the traps because he is peanut butter’s #1 fan, but after witnessing the execution firsthand, he has avoided the area like the plague. Anyway, the rat was subsequently disposed, the traps reset easily, and we went to bed. I walked into the kitchen this morning to find yet ANOTHER rat in the traps. Not as big as the first, but still a rat. I think it’s dead - but I also thought the first one was dead until it rose again. However, I am unsure, as I am currently writing this review from the safety of the back bedroom. I am now concerned I have most of the cast of Ratatouille behind my dishwasher, so it’s good that the traps are hardy and durable. In conclusion, I am horrified, disgusted, and traumatized, so I wholeheartedly recommend this product to even the most inexperienced of rat trappers.

This product is AMAZING! I have been noticing increased activity in chipmunks around my ha age and back deck. These traps are: extremely easy to bait, set and place; safe for pets; easy to clean and reuse; durable and well worth the price!

WARNING SLIGHTLY GRAPHIC CONTENT: good hard plastic. easy to set and make work. Was very excited that within a week of putting them out I was able to capture my pest. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is more of a humane one. The Trap did not kill the rodent immediately. It Suffered the entire night it was trapped. It was able to move the trap Ten feet and if it had been able, probably leave the area with the trap. When I found it in the morning I was pretty surprised. I had to try and put more pressure on the spring to clamp down further on the animal and it only made it mad. in my opinion, the spring needs to be stronger, teeth on it need to be something sharper. not going to post a photo because I think its unnecessary.

We've had both chipmunk and vole infestations in our small yard because of our large deck attached to the back of the house that they nest under. We'd see literally five chipmunks running around at a time over the past two spring/summers. So I set these up in one of their paths along the fence and one in front of where they get under our deck. After using these for a month, I haven't seen a chipmunk (except for in these traps) in five days now. It catches one or two each day, and has taken out at least 10 since I've started using them, along with 3 voles and 2 moles. Yesterday a vole, then less than an hour later a mole in the same trap. No vole trails to be seen yet either. The beauty: I haven't even baited them, just dry out-of-the-package traps. Which is great because I'm not trying to actually attract them. And it's easy to dispose of the animals. Give the trap a pinch and at most a shake or two and the animals drop right out. No blood so far either. Then reset them just by squeezing the trap open again. Haven't had to replace bait or even think about cleaning these. Also haven't caught anything we haven't wanted to either (little baby bunnies, fat nasty squirrels whose carcasses I don't want to deal with, birds, etc.). Easy and really effective with such little effort.

The best trap I have used, no comparison. I have been fighting mice and rats in my outside storage for the last several months. I have the dog water there and the mice/rats like to have a drink also. My dogs are small so I can't put the water up higher so the mice can't reach it. I have tried the old wood and spring traps, glue traps, a bucket trap. Bait stations, peppermint spray. Also because of the dogs I have to worry where I put a trap or bait. So a few minutes of putting peanut butter in the trap and setting it, gave me 5 kills in a week. These are much easier to set than the old wooden and spring style, and the tunnel makes it so my dogs do not get their nose snapped.

I bought this about three months ago. At first the traps worked amazingly. I trapped/killed 4 mice in one week. Then on the 5th trap the mouse suffered. It didn’t die right away and I felt so bad I had to wait for it to die before I could dispose of it. Then nothing for a at least a month. The mice figured out how to grab the peanut butter without setting off the trap. Then this morning it was only the mouses tail in the trap and it was eating away at the plastic to the point where it destroyed the trap. The traps don’t have a fast enough velocity to trap and kill the smart ones. I bought this so I could humanely kill them, but it would be better if they used copper or some type of metal for the traps so the mice couldn’t eat through them and it would have a higher instant death rate.

Recently I noticed my neighbors ripping up their lower wood deck, shortly after that these unwanted guests arrived. This 2nd story deck is off of my kitchen, used often as a general sitting, grilling area and is constantly visited by my children and dogs. I was HORRIFIED when rats suddenly started coming on my deck as we are clean people, no food, or garbage out there. We live in a nice area, have a nice home, I thought this only happened in dirty homes, farms and in the big city's. Apparently I was wrong. This was a 1st for me. I freaked out, read everything online, started cleaning my deck with bleach and pine scented cleaners, removed bird feeders, just hoping and praying they would just go away. Sadly they did not leave, I would hear them moving around out there and see poop around the deck. I was scared to use poison due to my small dogs, even with safe traps, I was scared the rat would die and my dogs would get it. Yet the thought of removing a dead bloody rat from a trap grossed me out and there was no way I was going to catch them and release them. I needed something easy, like a hotel they checked in and never left. (Sadly there is no such thing) Per my father, get the cheap traps, they work, so I tried the old fashioned traps. I am not sure why, but I had so much anxiety setting them, fearing it would snap my fingers. Night after night, empty, the nasty things were too smart for those. Desperate for a solution, and trying to avoid having to call an exterminator due to my tight after Christmas budget, I found these on amazon, read the reviews, mostly good but someone said they the kill was messy, which turned me off of them. After a few more tries with the old fashion traps and even trying the baking soda natural kill method, I was desperate and ordered them. Let me just say these are SO SO SO easy to use. I put peanut butter in the feeder, pulled the lever and put them out at night. The next morning I was shocked when I saw tails coming out of the traps. I will admit I freaked out, hesitated, having to face my kill, expecting it to see blood and guts everywhere. THANKFULLY, it was easy, no mess, no blood, no having to see him. With one hand holding a garbage bag, the other hand released the trap, and he was easily in the trash. I put the traps out again the next night, and again, in the morning I saw tails again. It was quiet for a few days or again I was in denial till one walked casually across my deck looking at me. Feeling more comfortable with the traps and determined to take them down, I decided to get creative, I lightly spread some peanut butter at the entrance of the traps and sprinkled cinnamon over it, to get the smell out there. The next morning I saw another tail. I have 5 down so far and can not thank these traps enough for making this horrible situation easier for me. Surely this has to be all of them, however I am going to continue to put them out for the next month, even ordering 2 more to put on the lower level yard in hopes of getting them before they get to my house. My method with kids and pets is, put these out at night, remove in the morning, clean & disinfect deck daily and repeat. Despite what the internet says, the smell of bleach and pine do not seem to keep them away, but good for disinfecting. I use creamy peanut butter and sprinkle cinnamon on top of it. They apparently love the smell of cinnamon and based on my results it appears to be true. Other Pro's - The price is good, fast shipping

Definitivamente las volvería a comprar son efectivas y funcionales, evitan que mascotas metan la pata y el roedor no sufre ya que el golpe es demasiado rápido y fuerte. Para liberar la trampa no hay que tener contacto directo solo levantar el seguro y tirar directo a una bolsa o la basura. Seguro y práctico.

Trabajan de maravilla, las deja bien muertas y no hacen desorden, llevo dos días con ellas ya hemos atrapado 4 ratas. 100% recomendables!

Funcionó muy bien. La rata se resistió varios días a comer el cebo que cambie varios durante varios días. Lo dejo como oportunidad de mejora el poder tapar una salida puesto que el roedor ve un túnel y no ingresa a comer con confianza. Además que cuando lo puse en la ruta la rata lo esquivaba.
