This blender is WONDERFUL! I always wanted a perfect small blender like this. This blender is cute, compact, fits well on my counter and it blends everything I make so smoothly , it makes perfect smoothies! I love that after you blend your drink you can just drink it to go. The cup is great and holds plenty of smoothie or milkshake for you. The top is perfect too with a convenient slide open and shut feature. This blender is small but mighty because it blends so well. I am so satisfied with this product and I wanted to share with others that it is worth every penny it cost. I love this little blender so much ☺️

Love this blender. Makes making smoothies & shakes a cake walk. To avoid messes, if your going to pour without lid should probably not have the blender filled to the top due to the lid pressure being so tight. Otherwise excellent blender. I'd rather have the lid tightly sealed then loose anyways.

I recently bought this mini blender as I was lookin for a small blender for my workspace. I plan to make a lot lot of drinks for the summer. The device is pretty much what it shows. Very simply and easy to use. It's a mini blender. The cup where you place your ingredients for blending is also the same cup you'll drink from using the travel lid. The power base is a separate piece. The cup and blades are one piece so The blades cannot be separated the way most blenders work. So you'll need to make sure to clean the inside properly. Dishwasher safe as mentioned in the product description. Motor is loud. VERY LOUD. Loud enough to make some think I was doing construction in our workroom kitchen with the door closed. After all these years companies still have not considered producing kitchen equipment that runs on the "quieter" spectrum. The lock designs on the front doesn't quite line up with the marks on the power base letting you know it's locked in place. Just a small cosmetic flaw, nothing detrimental. If you're using ice to make "slushies" make sure they're small to medium size. Anything larger or too much can pose too much of a task in the break down process. You need a little added moisture to move the ice enough to break down into a "slush". Once it starts breaking down it starts building up a wall sitting above the blade instead of moving downward. Thus, forcing you to have to stop it and use a spatula to push the contents downward into the blade so the ice breaks down and mixes properly. It can also overheat if the blade is obstructed as well. Otherwise a good product that works well based on how you use it. -PROS: Simple, Easy to use, blends well. It's a blender except smaller. Good for the price. -CONS: LOUD. Very LOUD for something so small.

Great for the price. Low capacity so you are only making a single large drink or two small ones. If your freezer has an icemaker with the option to grind the ice into chips, I recommend doing that first as it will make this last a bit longer, but hey for 20 bucks it's a bargain. Smoothies come out great. It's easy to clean and packs away in the cabinet neatly if you don't want it on your countertop.

Great for one person.

I’ve had this blender for about 3 years and it works decently for the cheap price. It’s just impossible to blend all ingredients at once, because the motor is so weak. You have to add one ingredient at a time to make a smoothie, which can be time consuming. It works wonderfully with room temperature fruit, but it struggles to blend frozen food. It often gets stuck in the blades(which aren’t very sharp). Despite all of that I’ve used it almost daily for 3 years. I’m only replacing it now because the blender cup is cracked and leaking from the bottom.

Easy to use. Use mine everyday. Had it for awhile and it does a great job making my smoothies. Plug it in and it’s ready to go.

UPDATE: Enough is enough. I thought i could work through the quirks with this blender. Forget it. It's turned out to be a total disaster. When blending anything that foams, such as protein powders, Smoothies etc, you can't even get a full 12 ounces before the whole thing explodes. The lids awful. It leaks severely and get your drink all over the counter top and the base unit to the blender and, YOU. I have to put a towel over the lid to keep fluid from ending up everywhere. The other issue with the lid, if you have weak hands, elderly or arthritis, or an injury to your hand, forget it, you will never get the lid off with out dumping half the drink on the floor. Trying to make sure the lid is secured results in the same issue. This is soooo poorly designed, i should have known better considering the price point. In my original evaluation, I mentioned the short power cord, yeh, its a joke. Way too short, thought i could deal with it, nope. This is not worth it. I have already pulled out my full size blender. ORIGINAL EVALUATION; Purchased for my Protein Shakes and Smoothies. Fair Value. It's a little quirky. THE GOOD: Works as advertised. Delivered quickly, no damage, nicely packaged. As described. Fair Value. It blends just fine and does a decent job when adding "small" ice cubes and frozen veggies or fruits. Easy to store and fits in my upper cabinets when the canister and base are seperated. Lightweight and Easy to use and handle. THE BAD: This is kind of a quirky personal blender. First, when you mount the container on the blender, it's locks in place, however, its counter intuitive. It locks by twisting to the left instead of the right. Every kitchen appliance i have, including full size blenders you twist to the right to lock. It says 16oz, however, you are not going to get a full 16oz of liqued. You will get about 10 to 12oz. Think the capacity should have been a full 16oz or 20 to 24oz. Because of relatively new laws in Europe and the United States, the power cord is way too short!!!!!, this drives me crazy!!!...I believe this one is a newer model upgraded with a better lid, so, it doesn't leak anymore, however, you really need to make sure the lid is fully and completely sealed before you blend or you are going to have a big mess. Also, it has a latch/slide on the lid, make sure its also in the closed position or, again a huge mess. THE UGLY: The only thing I would call ugly, the lid !!!, while it now complelty seals and doesn't leak, you have to use a lot of force to "Seat" the lid, then, when you remove the lid, have fun, it seals so hard, you really have to pull with the edge of your fingers to remove it. Painful!!!! I own many Hamilton Beach kitchen products and im a little surprised this is as quirky as it is. I give it 4 stars because it works as advertised and considering the price point, you can't beat it.

I've bought this same little blender 3x in over 20yrs. Ist one i bought at Canadian Tire for $12.99 on sale. I used it almost everyday & was very hard on it blending ice cubes too in my smoothies. It worked so well for maybe 6yrs & i guess i'd run it to the ground. So i bought a 2nd one on Ebay for $17.99 . same thing, i ran it to the ground & the glue that holds the blades on gave out & fell off the bottom of the the cup leaving an opening for fluids to come out. (I Laugh now because all of my half -mixed smoothie came out of the bottom and all over my counter. was pretty mad then...I suggest that you place it on something round & plastic like a plate just in case) So this is my 3rd one. (It's a pretty red like my microwave & kettle) It was a little more money but so worth it! So far it works well & I always think it's worth the extra money. I luv these things. It saves you from having to go out & buy an expensive smoothie everyday where you don't know exactly what's in it. I don't add sugar. better for me that i just make my own;-) ( i like to keep it simple, add a little plain keifer, some frozen fruit, & lots of water & i'm good to go.) Good luck!
