Double Watch Winder Box for Automatic Watches – Quiet Japanese Motor, Luxury Brown Wooden Self Winding Case, Gift for Men

I received my winder a week ago and so far, it's running flawlessly. It came well-packaged and free from any dents, dings or scrapes. The winder holds both of my watches with no issues whatsoever. The pillows that come with the winder are adjustable in that there's a "ring" that fits over the original pillow for those who have slightly smaller wrists. It looks as though the pillows could handle anything from something around 8" down to 6" if you include the "ring" that fits over the pillow. The unit itself is well-made and looks great. Nice, large display window to make sure the unit is working because there's very little noise when it is. You'd literally have to stand within a few feet to hear the motor. It sits on your desk or nightstand very quietly, doing its job. The winder will run on batteries or can be plugged in with the supplied plug. I've plugged mine in and don't know how long the winder would run on batteries. If the batteries run out when you're not around, what good would having a winder if the watches ran down? Controls are straightforward and require no instructions, but there's a small instruction page that comes with the winder. So far, so good. I'm impressed with its build quality and aesthetics, especially for the price. I just hope I'm as happy a year or two from now.

This watch winder is much better than expected. Previous winders looked shoddy, were not as quiet as advertised, and one cover broke quickly. The lid hinge was nailed into the particle board side walls, and were loosening almost from the beginning. The JQUEEN impressed me by having metal rails that were screwed into the frame, and it looks like they would last a long time. The case is highly polished and looks like the quality of fine furniture, although that is unlikely. I think it is attractive enough to sit on the nightstand in the bedroom, but my wife insists it is meant for a shelf in the closet. The motor is very, very quiet, and would not be noticed if it was next to our bed. The program options are very simple to understand and to use. The only criticism I could make is that the watch pillows are not as "foamy" as expected, but they work perfectly, and do not warrant downgrading the winder even a fraction of a point. I've only had this for two days, but at this point I give it 5 stars. We'll see how I rate it after about 6 months. I expect my opinion to be unchanged.

**UPDATE #2** Was contacted by shipper and the offered to send me a new motor at no cost. I did just get around to installing the new motor. This was a big pain as there were no instructions on how to open the case. Luckily I did find a video online fo another using doing a motor swap on the quad version of this. Anyway, New motor finally went in and I plugged it all back in. The new motor is at least as loud as the old motor. This is not good. The biggest reason this was purchased over other options was that it was supposed to be quiet, and it was for the first 2 or 3 months. Now you can hear it in the next room, even with the new motor in it. Very disappointed. **UPDATE#1** After about 4 months I noticed the unit was getting louder. At first it wasn't bad. If the AC was on you couldn't hear it. In the last 2 months that though it has continued to get worse. It is so loud during Operation that it doesn't matter if my AC is on or not. It still winds the watches, however as the sounder gets louder and nastier, I worry that function will soon become worse u til it stops winding completely. My wife bought this for me for Father's Day. I've had this plugged in for only 4 days. What I can say is that the picture online is spot on. Unit I received is just as Red / Glossy / Grainy. It is a nice looking unit. has a premium type feel. I can't say enough how quiet the motor is. With our AC and Fan off, I can stand next to this and I still won't hear it spinning. I only have it plugged in. I have not tested or used it on Battery. i have no real need or desire to do so either, so I cannot really comment on if that is good or not. sorry. For me, so far, all signs point to this being a very nice, high quality Watch Winder. Really only time will tell if it's performance is maintained or if it starts falling apart after a few months. For now, I'm happy with it.

This product is absolutely gorgeous. It looks fantastic on my dresser. I have never owned a watch winder before, so unfortunately I don't have any personal first-hand experience from which to draw. I have to judge this one on its own merits. Again - this box is very beautiful. The construction and hinges and switch have a modern vintage look. Obviously of the highest quality. Opens and closes very smooth with no play in the hinges, and whether open or closed, everything remains perfectly square and aligned. This looks like something you might see on someone's desk on Mad Men. Just beautiful. As far as function, it seems to work as advertised. Many of the reviews (as well as the product description) reference the noise made by the winder. It is very quiet, but it does emit sound. It is not silent. To give an idea; The winder is on my bedroom dresser. My bathroom is about 10' away in one direction, and the head of my bed is about 15' in the opposite direction. When standing at my dresser, the sound of the clock ticking in the bathroom is louder than the watch winder. When I lay in my bed I can still (barely) hear the clock, but I cannot hear the watch winder. I noticed that when I only have one watch in the winder, it makes a bit more noise than when both watches are in. I've just started turning the winder off when one of my watches is out. NOT because the noise is loud or intolerable, but just because I'd rather not risk any additional wear on the winder just in case the additional noise and absence of one watch is related. This is the ONLY reason I gave 4-stars instead of 5.

This watch winder box is in highly polished condition, which looks great. The box itself is not too big like some I have seen, it sits nicely on my desk. The box seems very well made, strong with great hinges, the interior seems plush in cream finish and my watches fit easily in place. The operation is easy with a descent knob for turning the settings 1 to 4, I find 4 is the best setting for my watches, it runs for 3 hours turning the watch every 5 mins then stops for 9 hours and starts again automatically, the motor is very quiet and I can hardly hear it. My only criticism is that the plug is a European plug with two pins and you will have to buy an adaptor plug for use in England, but apart from that very minor point, all in all a very attractive, well made box and silent motor and great value, but looks and feels expensive.

It arrived on time with an AC adapter (Australian Plug). The box has beautiful polished wood funish and works very quietly. I have not tried to use with dry battery yet as the power adapter works fine. I put the box next to my bed but I hardly notice the sound. Now my 2 mechanical watch alway keep time, even I wear them occasionally. Great item. I am very happy.

Muy bonito diseño, parece de buena construcción. El motor es silencioso, aunque después de dos semanas de uso continuo, noto algún ruidito adicional, espero que sea normal por el uso. El único detalle que le veo es que no tienen ningún foco o led que indique que está encendido… si se agotan las baterías pues uno no sabe cuando esto sucede hasta que te das cuenta que el aparato ya no da vueltas o los relojes se paran… eso debería mejorarse.

Utilizzato gia'da un mese. Nessun problema. Abbastanza silenzioso. I materiali sono, tutto sommato, di buona qualita'. Se gli orologi sono di diametro importante (es. Uomo >42mm),bisogna avere l'accortezza di utilizzare qualche escamotage per non farli cozzare, per esempio un cartoncino divisorio.

Ich bewahre in dem Uhrenbeweger meine zwei Fossil-Automatikuhren auf. Er sieht sehr schön aus und lässt sich sehr gut bedienen. Ich sehe keine Probleme, dass Uhren oben anstoßen können, dafür müssten diese schon besonders groß sein. Der Uhrenbeweger hat eine Neigung von ca. 45°, bei etwas störrischen Uhren-Rotoren könnte ein Aufziehen der Uhr somit ausbleiben - hier hilft nur leicht schräges Einsetzen der Uhr in den Beweger, um die Neigung während der Bewegung zu erhöhen. Der Motor ist für das Wohnzimmer nahezu geräuschlos. Im Schlafzimmer würde man diesen dann doch minimal hören. Das Geräuschlevel verdient trotzdem die volle Punktzahl. Ich würde den Uhrenbeweger aufgrund seiner Optik und seiner guten Verarbeitung jederzeit wieder kaufen.
