Cheap and works great

I was befuddled because I installed this replacement bulb, and the picture came up very dim with one slightly brighter spot at the top of the screen and a large blue-tinted splotch in the middle. After taking it back out, I noticed that there was a heat mark on the plate that interfaces the bulb into the optics--and this heat mark showed a circle, where the hole where the optics go was right on the corner edge of that circle. I deduced that the bulb was okay, but I was only seeing the outer edge of its light pattern through the projector. Discovered after comparing the replacement bulb with the OEM bulb, that the entire bulb was around 30 degrees crooked inside its heat-sink housing. There are apparently a couple of clips there that hold the bulb flush to the housing and it had come out of one of them on one side. After snapping that back into place and reinstalling, picture was very bright and clear. Installation: Two screws with catchments to remove the projector cover piece, and then a single mounting screw to install the bulb and heat sink housing. Very easy. Package also came with a Philip's screwdriver and a cotton glove to avoid scratching any optics. Picture: As good as I remember the OEM bulb being at the start of its life. Definitely brighter than the OEM bulb at the end of its life that it replaced. Reliability: I'm still in the first hour of operation, so we shall see.

Do not buy these bulbs. They are junk. They last 5 months at best

I put this in my cart in November 2023, but decided to sleep on it before purchasing. The next day, the price had gone down to less than $90 as a Black Friday deal, so I decided to go for it. The bulb made an immediate improvement to the image quality and brightness, and it continues to perform well, one year later. I use the projector nightly, and at 1200 hours, it's still looking great. At this point, I have gotten my money's worth, and I would buy another one without hesitation.

After reading the reviews I bought this unit for a back up for when my current lamp fails (first mistake). Today my old trusty lamp failed so I unwrapped the original Amazon unopened shipping package and opened the box. Low and behold it doesn't work, I tried de-installing and reinstalling it several times. As I examined the lamp I noticed the very center of the lamp/lens has an internal post that was slanted to the side, bent like hell. There is no way this could have happened from shipping, it had to have happened at the factory while making the lamp as there is no way to get to it under the lens glass. Very disappointed, can't return it due to the fact I bought it earlier this year. Only advice I have is DO NOT BUY THIS LAMP, VERY BAD QUALITY CONTROL. Money down the drain........... UPDATE: fantastic customer service! ARCA people reached out to me and sent me another lamp FAST. New lamp is functioning well, clear and bright. I'll update if need be but so far so good. Satisfied Customer!!

Very happy with this lamp! I've ordered two lamps for comparison from different manufacturers: Araca and Amazing Lamps. Amazing Lamps one was much dimmer than the original, ran very hot, and smelled badly, even though I only ran it for couple of minutes. I returned it. When I installed the Araco lamp, I was actually surprised to see a better performance than my previous original lamp. It was noticably brighter, producing better colors and overall image quality, no issues with overheating. It's bright enough to run the projector in the ECO mode without seeing noticable difference in image quality, in addition to much less fan nose. I use the projector in the bedroom, so it's nice to have. So far I'm really happy with this product, definitely recommend.

We all fear that moment when when we push the power button a few months after that lamp warning goes off. When the bulb goes so does the functionality of the space. It's refreshing to know for a fair price and a YouTube video you can have a brand new projector. It was an easy three steps once you get into the face plate. Feel free to tug on it good and proper to get it off, just two screws for me then remove the one plug and the one screw and swap in and boom, vida. You don't notice how dark your lamp was until you see it again for the first time. If anything it's too bright now! I'm a few weeks in with no issues. Thanks! For realz

So far, so good!!! I just changed the bulb about two weeks ago, and it works perfectly, which was a delightful surprise for me. I definitely recommend this product and the seller as well.

Product arrived on time and worked as advertised. I recently ordered my 2nd bulb from them b/c, after 6000 hours on the first one, it was time to replace it. The first bulb worked great, and the image was great. However, after ordering my 2nd bulb from this company, my old BenQ projector died. So my 2nd bulb was not needed. They accepted the return with no issues. If needed, I will order from them in the future. UPDATE: I got my old projector working, so I got a new bulb. Wow! The image is great. It's like a brand new projector. Very pleased.

I got this lamp back in 2022 and installed it replacing my EPSON ELPPL89 lamp that was giving me warnings to replace the lamp and the light was starting to fade a little (but it still worked). I swapped the lamp with this one and kept the original as a backup (it had almost 2000 hours on it and still worked despite the pop up message). This lamp has lasted since then and clocked in at 3380 hours until today she finally gave out. It just died. The brightness was great to start but I would say at about 1000 hours it noticeably faded a little... but it was still usable for sure. Getting anything over 1500 hours on this lamp was satisfactory for me... getting 3300+ hours is stellar for the price. If you are picky on having a bright image, this lamp's lifespan is average at best... but just to have it working and if you have a dark room, my experience has been a very long life. As it has been a few years, I will once again research on the best value options to replace it. I will likely come back to this one.
