I really enjoy my electric kettle
I have owned my electric kettle for just over a year now, and I am still very pleased with it. I use mine mainly for hot water to make instant coffee. I'm the only coffee drinker in my household. Since I have retired and wanted to economize, I decided to get rid of my Keurig and the expense of K-Cups. I am not a coffee connoisseur, so I don't mind instant coffee, and this electric kettle does just what I need. And the water is a lot hotter than the Keurig ever was. My coffee has a better taste. Plus, I use it to heat water to make instant potatoes, instant oatmeal, or instant grits. During the winter, making hot cocoa is easier with the hot water from this kettle. I am very pleased with my kettle and highly recommend it. Over a year later it works great seven days a week.

Strange fact about the auto shutoff for the highest temperaure setting
This is a great upgrade from my previous model, which, after a lot of years, was leaking where the glass met the top. The auto shutoff at various temperatures is a big improvement. There is one strange problem, though. The auto shutoff for the highest temp (212F) doesn't work. My old model would shut off near this temp, when the water was at a rolling boil. I tested the four other auto shutoff temps on the new model, and they worked fine. I also tested the "boil dry" shutoff, and it worked. I suspect the problem is my elevation of 3200ft above sea level. A calculator I found online said water should boil at 206F with my current pressure and elevation. I measured the temperature of the boiling water in the unit and got 208F. Pretty close considering I used a meat thermometer. I am guessing that because the water didn't reach 212, the auto shutoff for this temp was never reached. Since the "boil dry" worked ok, I think the unit is fine. With the old one, I had to guess when to turn it off so I didn't have to wait for the tea to cool down enough to drink. I would absolutely recommend this product, but just be aware of the possible problem with the highest temperature auto shutoff. By the way, I worked in the weather business for 13 years, so I know a bit about temperature and pressure measurements and effects.

Total Iced Tea Satisfaction At Last
I was never happy with the iced tea that I brewed from tea bags. I finally gave up and just bought gallon jugs of tea at the store, but they were as expensive as buying soft drinks, and even more for a better brand like Gold Leaf. My friend talked about using a kettle like this for boiling water for a single cup of tea each day. I didn't need that, as I just boil 16 oz of water in the microwave for four minutes and I'm good. Then I saw this kettle with the infuser and thought I might have a game changer on my hands--and I was right. I was already buying the Ahmad Barooti Assam tea in 16 oz packages here on Amazon, so I gave it a try in the infuser. With a little practice I found that two level tablespoons in the infuser was perfect for the 1.8 liter capacity of this kettle. I add 1/4 cup sugar, but that's personal taste. I love the automatic shutdown after the tea has brewed. Once you figure out how the infuser pops into the lid, then it's simple as can be. Cleanup is simple with the spray attachment on my kitchen faucet to rinse out the remaining tea leaves after I've dumped the infuser. As far as I'm concerned, this thing has already paid for itself with the money I've saved over buying store tea, and I'm enjoying it a whole lot more.

Great teapot but....
The media could not be loaded. This is a great teapot but the auto off function doesn't work on the highest setting because of the boiling point of water at my elevation. I'm in El Paso TX and depending on where you live here in town the elevation is between 3700' and 4000' so the approximate point where water boils is about 204-205 degrees F. So I either have to watch the teapot and turn it off when on the highest setting (Red 212) or use the 200 degree setting (Purple) and let it turn off on its own. Don't really think it makes that much of a difference for those few degrees. The second thing is that the "keeping water warm" feature will not work because it only works for the highest setting (Red 212) and can never get to that temp so that feature doesn't work.Overall these aren't deal breakers for me. I didn't want to spend $280-$300 for a teapot that has more features and that's more adjustable. I just wanted a basic electric teapot with some temp settings and a diffuser so for $35 I'll deal with these minor issues.

Multi-temperature setting is the best!
I scoured the pages looking for just the right kettle for my family. My husband just wanted anything to heat up water - no problem.I had a hard time cleaning our last kettle, so I wanted to be able to easily wash it. Since the lid comes completely off and the opening is large, this works perfectly. And my daughter loves making different teas, not wanting a true boil, so being able to set this for exactly what temp she wants is great! And with the diffuser, she can make tea with loose leaves as well. Each temperature also lights up with its own color, so you have color verification that you set it correctly. This is a great kettle!

Works great
This product does what I bought it to do very well. It heats water quickly, the temp tracks well with preset values, and I like it. The only minor ding is that the base seems pretty light, and appears to be some sort of plastic. I think the product would benefit from a ceramic base. But having said that, I am quite satisfied with the product and would recommend it if asked.

Absolutely precious pot!
I never thought I'd be this thrilled with a kettle! I love, love, love it! This kettle is freaking adorable, with a super fast boil speed, cool blue light and all wonderful glass with no microplastics! You can steep your tea in the stainless steel strainer with tiny holes for a super clean brew, or remove it and use it directly in your cup. Just be aware that the strainer slides straight out of the lid so don't try and twist it off and almost break it like I did in my first overzealous attempt to get it to release. Glasses might have helped... (eye roll) The kettle size is perfect for 1 or 2 people, and tucks away nicely in the cupboard. I can't say enough good things about this precious pot. Just get it!
