Many advantages over other tags, workaround for limited capacity. "work's on metal" is more important that I initially thought.
These tags use NTAG213 chip which has less capacity than newer NTAG216 (160-bytes vs 868-bytes). it was the initial reason i 1st bought another brand. However, it turns out that these tags have more advantages than other brands I tried, and I found a workaround for limited capacity. Pros: - 1st you need to understand what "It works on Metal" means: it means it will work on the car's dashboard, on the phone's car holder, etc. in other words: it includes also metal covered in plastic. Other tags didn't do it for me, and that's how I ended up with those ones. (at the beginning I thought: who cares, i won't put it on a sheet of metal. That was till i tried using other tags in my car). - long range: compared to other tags I tried, these ones do not need to physically touch the device (in my case, it is detects at about 1/2 inch distance) Drawback (and workaround): I started using NFC tags idea to automate my phone setup when using my car, my wife's car, and when at home. this includes (for example): - switch off WiFi - switch on Bluetooth - un-mute phone ringer - start my audiobook player - start navigation / or car link software - set volume for media, ringtone, etc These tasks take about 300-Bytes (vs available 160). However I found out there is a simple workaround: I used the NFCTools app profiles, and set the tag to simply execute the profile on the phone. That did the trick. all what the tag does is start the profile on the phone, this way i am not restricted by the tag's memory capacity anymore.

Very Happy but other manufacturers offer more colors and tags for a little less.
I like the sturdy card like feel and the high gloss look. These are great looking. They work with my iPhone XR and 11 just fine. I do have to get close with the phone and sometimes it takes a moment to run the automation. After a few tries, I learned to position the phone over the NFC tag rather than swipe the phone across the tag. What do they need to improve? I would like more colors or periodically new pattern so the tags can also double as eye-cons. I can do a lot with these, but if they all look alike, I fear my household with get confused. I could probably print patterns on blank stickers and overlay them on the NFCs so the burden of uniqueness doesn't have to fall on the producer.

Limited range but work great with a naked phone.
These are excellent when used with an NFC application like Trigger. They allow you to perform a set of actions whenever the NFC is detected (e.g. turn WiFi on/off, open an application, start music playback, etc.). The tags work as intended but a case with any thickness will cause you some headaches in getting your phone to read the NFC. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 in an Otterbox case and I feel like a wizard waving his magic wand when I'm trying to get the phone to read this thing. When I have the phone out of the case it reads instantly. I've since changed to a Rokform case with the magnet and I've had some luck with getting it to consistently read by pushing the mounting hole against the NFC tag, but it is still hit-and-miss most of the time. Overall, make sure whatever NFC tag you buy is advertised to mount on metal surfaces like this one is. If they don't advertise it, avoid the tag as it's use will be very limited to surfaces with zero ferrous metal within 1-2 inches of the tag. The dash of your car is a no-go for those types of tags.

quality.
I've used quite a few nfc tags in the past, including nfc tech tags, versions 1 and 2, and various other no name tags. Some could be used over metal, some couldn't. I decided to give these a shot, because the price was right, they are pvc and durable, have 3m sticky, and can be read when stuck to metal. upon receiving them I ran them through a gamut of tests to make sure they were what they were advertised as, and so far, yes they are. Not only are they, but they are on the upper scale of memory of ones I've tested (180 bytes, 45 pages, 4 bytes each). The last few I've tested barely made it over 145, which made adding more than a few tasks difficult. These also seem to pick up at a little further distance than ones I've used in the past, which is convenient. all in all, I'm happy with these.

Serviceable tags, a bit slow and a bit low on memory.
Now that you can write/read a variety of NFC tags from iOS I decided to purchase a variety of different tags to test out for projects at work. I was drawn to these due to their size and looks. Unfortunately, they are by far the slowest performing tags I've written to and read. I also ran into the 144 byte limit a few times while trying to write some small strings in them. For the price they should have a bit more memory and speed. I bought a pack of 25 tags for 12 bucks on Amazon that are lighting fast and contain over 500 bytes of memory. On the plus side, you can use these on metal surfaces / you couldn't do that with the tags in the 25 pack I bought.

Great product, I chose the red PVC tags.
Arrived on time and in perfect condition, thanks to being shipped inside a thick, oversized bubble wrap envelope. I bought the all red PVC tags and I am very satisfied with them. I didn't know which one to choose at first, but paper sticker tags just didn't seem very sturdy or long lasting to me... especially when compared to PVC. Additionally, I like the slight "buffer" that the PVC provides, since you basically have to make contact with not only the tag, but also whatever the tag is adhered to, like a wall or night stand. Because once they become part of your normal routine and you try to use them "on the go" as you are walking out the door... the slightly raised PVC may help protect your phone on the day you go to tap the tag and accidentally smack your phone into the wall just a little too hard!
