These are the best gloves
I have a couple pairs of these gloves, both the "lobster claw" style and these mittens. I like the mittens best for keeping hands warm as they are big enough inside to wear a liner and keep a hand warmer inside. I like the lobster claw style for heliskiing because you can more easily bundle skis up without taking your hands out of the gloves. I would recommend applying the waterproofing cream that comes with the gloves before first wear.

Great glove. I will say it’s not quite warm ...
Great glove. I will say it’s not quite warm enough for out colder New England ski days, but with a handwarmer they can handle the negative Fahrenheit temps. I would suggest the mitten over the claw if you have cold hands. I still have to pull my thumb in to keep it warm.

Happiness
I bought three pairs of that mittens... for me and my teens ... I think it says a lot about the quality... yes , they expensive but worth every penny ( especially if your hands are constantly cold or sweating..) If you don’t lose them , they will serve you forever ( very durable) ... I tried to buy cheaper mittens but unfortunately they never work ... at least for me and my youngest one ... With first two pairs of them We are going through our second winter..and they look like new ( have to apply cream on them ). bought the third pair for my oldest one ... finally !!!! We are very Very happy with them I hope you will be too!!!!

Best mittens I’ve ever owned!
These have endured about 6 days of snowboarding so far, and they’re amazing! I am one of those people whose world ends when my hands or feet get too cold. These have kept mine toasty from -1 windchill up to spring-like temps. I measured according to Hestra’s instruction for sizing before ordering and purchased the recommended size. My mitts are quite roomy and a size smaller may have been a better fit for wearing with no liner, but they aren’t so oversized that it makes any difference in function.

WARM!
Have only worn these a couple times - for shoveling and for chopping wood. Nice and toasty warm. Dexterity could be better, as with the model with the separate index finger, but for me, warmth trumped dexterity. So far so good!

Worth the money
I had a hard time spending money on mittens for skiing but since my hands get cold very easily I needed something good. After taking to Hestra they told me these are the second warmest mittens they just weren't completely waterproof. I ended up buying several and these were the winners. I bought a size 8 (I'm a 5'5" female with normal size hands, usually a small sometimes a medium in most gloves or mittens) and these are a little big only in the thumb. I also find that on single digit days my fingers get chilly when I'm not active (ie chairlift) and my thumbs are usually the first and coldest, which I believe is pretty standard for mittens. These are really soft inside though. I will pop a hand warmer in them and usually my hands get really toasty and sweaty when I'm moving but I'll be comfortable on the chairlift then. The leather does show moisture when you get them wet from the outside but it's never actually penetrated. There's no finger liner inside, which was a huge bonus imo, liner also isn't removable. The wrist/snow guards are not annoying and they fit easily over my cuffs. I think these are a good purchase of you get really cold easily.

Super warm and durable Mittens!
VERY WARM. like if it isn’t closer to zero than 32 and you are moving at all I would say too hot. Otherwise they are perfect, very durable, you feel very in control with them on as well. Highly recommend.
